You need a different nozzle. Expect it to spit periodically.
I ordered 3 of these HE tips for use on a large painting project. I returned all three after using one. There is a design flaw. The tip will not fit a standard Titan nozzle. The locking cam is bigger, and it requires a different nozzle. The nozzle you need forms a deep reservoir in front of the tip to accept the longer cam. Paint pools in this reservoir and then spits on the surface you're painting, or worse, it begins to dry and disrupts the spray fan. Titan needs to retool these tips to fit their standard nozzle. If they did that it would be an excellent tip.

Poor tip for oil based STAIN
Have used the 413 on oil based stain and spray tip clogged in fires thirty minutes of used even turned 180 degrees to blow out no help. Put in paint thinner still no help. Any suggestions please
