Great initial quality. Excellent watering wand.
Excellent initial quality. The orange color is true to the pictures: nice bright metallic finish. Fit and finish appear excellent. No leaks at connection. In use, this wand has been impressive. High flow with a gentle spray at the same time. The "touch n flow" handle-operated valve feels solid and engages positively, almost like an on off switch. This makes it a bit harder to modulate flow between 0 and full. Based this operation combined with the high flow rate, one potential issue for those with many small or full pots is that it can quickly overflow pots. Thankfully, it's not high flow AND high pressure, so it does not blast dirt out of pots or blast mulch from around plantings. It replaces a Melnor "gentle rain" wand which cracked at the connection and began leaking profusely. Comparing the two, the dramm is clearly a step up. The dramm wand flows more water, but at a more gentle pressure. The on/off valve also feels much more solid and the handle is slightly more comfortable. Impressive watering tool so far; if it can hold up for at least a full year, then it was worth paying double what the Melnor cost me. I will update with any problems that arise. Hope this review helps.

Awesome Customer Service 5 Star
We purchased the Dramm Watering Wand in July 2024. Worked flawless the first year. A real back saver when trying to reach the plants down and low. The fine spray is perfect for the plants. Seen a lot of usage since we did not have much rain that season. However, we encountered a problem where the water stopped flowing in a spray pattern. Contacted Dramm Customer service. After sending them a video on the concern and they responded immediately. Also spoke with Tammy Krcma, Customer Service rep at Dramm and she was so nice. This epitomizes what Customer Service should be once again. They are in the process of shipping a replacement. Also discovered in the process there are interchangeable water breakers for this wand. A great company to work with.

A very useful garden tool
I use this watering wand daily to water my garden and various containers. The adjustable nozzle is easy to turn, even with water flowing through it. The design and build quality are superb and this watering wand will last for many years. I'm glad I purchased this wand and I recommend it to all other gardeners. This is a good watering tool.

Good wand but flow restriction is annoying
The wand is a nice length and it’s easy to squeeze the handle to engage. So far the construction is good, no leaking at the fittings. But the flow control restriction is really annoying and makes it take forever to water my large backyard garden. I’m not handy enough to do the DIY instructions I’ve seen here. I don’t regret the purchase exactly but I really wish it didn’t have this feature. I also don’t love the plastic water breaker on the end but I just replaced it with another Dramm all metal water breaker. In all a decent watering wand.

Awesome but will drown delicate plants
It’s great quality. The handle is nice. It will drown a delicate plant. Use with a shut off valve to control flow.

love these watering wands
Update for third order: it came with a thumb lever, not the pistol handle as pictured, and as my two previous wands. I'm disappointed, I did like the squeeze handle so I can easily turn it off between pots. I'm not returning it and I'll give it a try and see if I get used to the new mechanism but I *hate* it when amazon shows me one product and sends me something different. Come on, guys! I'm not taking off a star but it's thin ice here! (the second one got sort of frozen onto the coil hose after many years in the greenhouse and there's a leak, probably in the coil house, so it was moved outside) Second order review: This is my second one - the first one got left outside when it froze and the lever mechanism broke inside. I love these for watering the bajillion pots in the greenhouse, from tiny starts to 8' trees. It provides a nice gentle rain but a good flow, doesn't leak, is easy to use, not awkwardly long, but still I don't have to get way over close to the plants. I have another one I use outside in the garden. The gentle-rain spray action only works with a certain level of water pressure. The handle is great for on-off, and you can press a little for low, but the water will sort of dribble out. This is what I do for small starts - not ideal but it's still convenient to do everything with one sprayer. However, this model comes with a fairly large head (my old Dramm had a smaller one), which is too large for the water pressure in the greenhouse. The heads screw off so I am currently using my old head on the greenhouse sprayer. The larger head size is great for the garden where the water pressure is higher.
