Great coffee table. The glass is very heavy It weighs about 100 lbs.

I needed to replace my first TriBeCa table which was stolen. Looking on line I was surprised by the price range and thankful for the reviews. But why was this table significantly more expensive than the others? I emailed Apex to get information on the table and got a reply from Lily who was extremely helpful. It turned out Apex's office was only a town away from where I live. They have the Medium Walnut TriBeCa table in their office so Lily invited me to stop by and check it out. I was really impressed with the quality. This table is solid. My previous table had a light gauge metal connecting rod with cross pins, for locking the wood pieces into position, that were loose, and didn't fit tight Into the legs making iit woobly. Apex's model is heavy gauge stainless with secure cross pins and a tight fit making it very sturdy. I went in for the Mid Walnut table, which is what my original table was and Lily also had the American Walnut leg out for me to see the difference. The Medium Walnut is mid tone stained beechwood that has a cohesive solid color. The American Walnut is just that, beautiful wood grained. Seeing the two side by side was great to be able to compare the two finishes. I ended up spending the additional money for the American Walnut version and am extremely happy with my decision.
