ROLL Recovery R8 Plus (Carbon Black) - Deep Tissue Massage Roller

I am obsessed with this! How did I not discover them before in my many years of running?! I saw them being featured at one of the youtube videos/olympic runner I was watching where they used this before their long run and after their long run. It's definitely a convenient, yet versatile way to get a 'roller' massage in without having roll all over the floor using the typical foam roller. The massage effectiveness is as good as a regular foam roller. The only downside is this very costly, but the value for money is definitely worth it if you're a serious runner or serious about your recovery! The firmness is fantastic and I love that I can adjust the overall tension if I want as well. Not only that I use this for my legs and glutes, but I actually also use it for my forearm and biceps/triceps. Great recovery tool for the arms as well especially after a heavy 'arm day' session at the gym. Not to mention, this is also very conveniet to pack and easy to travel with!

This roller is an absolute gamechanger for calves, forearms and the IT band. I'm tight in the calves and IT band, and achy in the forearms. All of those areas are places where you can kind of work on them with a foam roller on the floor but it's awkward and clumsy and if I was that dang limber I probably wouldn't need to be doing tissue work in the first place. You can use this sitting on the couch or throw it in your workout bag. You don't need to huff and twist around on the floor, with your teenage son keeping up a whispered commentary at home or spandex-clad 20 somethings at the gym silently watching and judging. Just buy this. The adjustable feature on the plus is well worth the markup. Do your tissue work in peace and smile politely at the young folk. Their time will come.

I’m a marathon runner and lifter and get deep tissue massage every three weeks. I have a Thera gun and a massage chair and all the rolling equipment. I was dealing with an “impinged” shoulder which I realized was an extremely tense muscle in my deltoid which reached all the way up my neck and to my bicep. Little by little I’ve worked away to get and maintain range of motion. I was down to mostly tension in my bicep in strange areas connecting to my deltoid and shoulder. Dumbbell curls felt awkward here. This handy device got a massive amount of pressure right where I needed it. It compressed my arm and I could just leave it on the tight spots or gently roll it thru the vice grip. It felt amazing first of all to finally have access to this area with enough pressure to roll it smooth. I’m surprised how good this felt. I also rolled some of my hip flexors. This does a better job than the thera gun by a mile to achieve this level of force. Works better than mat roll too. Now I feel zero impingement this puppy works. I’m a happy camper now. I am super grateful that somebody designed this product. Having suffered from blood pooling in my legs from being a bit too flexible, i find this to be an amazing, life changing tool. I have had hundreds of bodywork sessions and have found that M.E.R or myofascial energetic release is the most effective - but this roller has made me independent of bodyworkers and expensive sessions. I will use it daily, since I got it I have used it a few times a day and I love it. NOW for the bad part... I was contemplating even taking 2 stars off for this. WHY IS THE COMPANY SO GREEDY? WHY NOT INCLUDE THE ATTACHMENTS???? We are already paying a pretty high price for a tool in an industry flooded with competition. Do you have to make more money off the flimsy, cheap little attachments that have bad reviews and are often out of stock or the quality has lowered over time? Why not include the cheap little attachments with the product? My experience is ruined reading the reviews about the attachments and left wondering why you wouldn't provide different options for different bodies in the package in the first place. Nobody likes feeling milked or taken advantage of after receiving and otherwise life changing product. I would have been a huge fan of ROLL instead I am just happy to have the roller. cheers.

This may very well be one of the best purchases of my life!! LOVE IT Absolutely amazing, I wish I would have owned it years ago. don't waste your money on anything cheap. I finally bit the bullet and spent the money. Worth every penny. THANK YOU !!!!

If you have any upper body injury’s or are in recovery after a training session this isn’t great as it requires a fair bit of work to open. Muscles should be massaged in the direction of the heart ideally so that means opening the device repeatedly when in use which is quite a bit of work. It’s a quality device which is well built. Functionality wise it’s great to use on someone else or have someone use on you but seems expensive for what it is. If there was a version which has some sort of quick release to open and close it back I would buy since it does get deeep into the muscles.

Definitely the best massage device for limbs. It's definitely pricey but in the other hand I have already spent same amount of money trying out cheaper alternatives.
