Vey cool, bad instructions
This this is very cool! My son enjoyed it un-till it was time to put together. Instructions are all over the place. Really needs to be clearer ( like change color to show where to place please). I literally had to count pegs on paper then on piece to place correctly, also just choose one area to do at a time. Otherwise good value for your money if you are just looking for new interesting pieces that don't come in larger brands.

Nice castle
Nice set with good quality (and no missing) pieces. Easy to assemble and fun to redesign. Good value for money.

Beautiful castle but HARD TO BUILD
This is certainly worth the $$ considering that if it were Lego brand it would be at least $100. The plastic is different, it's not as easy to get the pieces to stay together and the instructions are hard. With that in mind, it's a beautiful castle once finished and definitely worth the money. Took my 9 year old son (who builds adult Lego sets with ease) approx 7 hours to build with some help from me.

Great fun!
My son got this for Christmas. It was fun putting it together with him but there were some areas that were difficult/confusing in the instructions. But - we persevered and it’s still standing to this day! He loves it.

Surprised it’s not Lego
For the price, I may say it’s better than lego

Elaborate but easy design to build even for a 10-year-old
Bought this as a gift for my 10 year old niece who is used to building LEGO toys and she enjoyed putting it together and seeing the finished product. Will buy more!

I lovely mediaeval castle not the Harry Potter one
I think for the money this is a great medieval castle to build. Instructions are a bit hard to follow unfortunately sometimes you have to check twice to be sure you placed the piece in the right place. The description is a bit misleading as it is not Harry Potter castle but the box doesn’t say anything about Harry Potter so it just says medieval castle. It is not a very difficult build and has small pieces and big pieces as well. There are places where it is a bit harder to connect the pieces together and also for the tower it took a lot of patience because it kept falling apart. I want to get the top of the tower it stays but it’s a bit of a struggle to that point.Looks really good

Great set to build
This is a great set, instructions are easy enough to follow and it takes a fair few hours so keeps you busy for a while. Once built it creates a very nice rendition of a medieval castle (no magic wands or broom sticks provided). It arrives in a nice box with a picture of the finished castle on the front - very suitable for gifting. My favourite part is the food included - pizza and cake - very amusing for the time period. All jokes aside, the bricks click together without much force, and whilst the set isn't as slick and polished compared with the bigger named brand kits, for the price it's a good activity.

It's okay
Ok, so it is nothing in comparison to the real brick building company (you know who) but it is still quite a cool build...once you get the instructions correct! The instruction booklet took me a few minutes to work out, as it has about 4 instruction boxes on each page not the 2 I'm used to and they don't always flow around the page like you think they would. It can also be very difficult to see where some blocks are placed and which direction something should be facing because they don't tend to show a close up or how it should look from other angles. I had to dismantle more than one section because I got halfway through building it and realised one or two blocks slightly further down are in the wrong place. The blocks come in numbered bags relevant to the section you are working on. Although it can be difficult to see the smaller bag numbers as they are printed on with a faint red ink.The pieces themselves are very similar to branded ones, but do feel a fair bit lighter in weight. They are also hit and miss whether they click together easily or not. Some of them are quite hard and you have to force them together whereas others can be very slightly loose. The final structure seems to be sturdy enough though. I do think I will go back and rebuild some parts though and add in some more support pieces as there are certain things (like the front door) that just fall over if poked.I'd say it's great if you have the urge/itch to get building but don't have the funds for the branded sets. I wouldn't say it's a display piece really. I completed this after mostly enjoying the build and then I let my son play with it as a medieval castle with his dragon toys because I knew I'd have no guilt or upset if it got broken. So far it's holding up well and anything thats fallen over he has been able to fix himself. I may even glue the pieces so it's a solid castle for him to play with. That in itself makes it worth the buy.

Great kit
This is a great bit of kit. We got the castle pack for my nephew who has been staying with us. He is into anything Harry Potter and loves building and creating so this set really got his grey matter working. He found the challange good fun. All the pieces come in a number of bags and you have to follow the instructions to know which pieces go where. This isnt easy to build but still not overly difficult either. Its just a matter of using concentration and thought when building it. Once built this castle kit looks great and for what it is, is quite substantial. Its very detailed, well made and with lots of different parts to play with. Those who enjoy Lego kits would also like building this and at a fraction of the price of Lego, it’s a super alternative. All in all a fab set that will give hours of entertainment.

Great addition.
I thought I wasn’t going to not like this set but I was wrong. This is a fun design with a cute idea. It is really cute and is a great addition to many previous set of the buildings. It goes really well with the other building set except for the space set which I’m not a huge fan of. The horse carriage is so cute and are actually made up of brikes instead of one solid piece. The Bridge Gate and the chain gate are a great interactive idea. My husband and I didn’t have any problems with the directions.
