Great concept
This backpack is a lifesaver for traveling with art pieces and supplies. Unfortunately the strap on my bag snapped after just a couple uses. Really love the concept though

Out of the box, it looks like it going to work great!
I am an artist and plein air painter. I was looking for something designed for holding art supplies to replace a worn out backpack that I have used for years. Doing a search on Amazon this item popped up. It had mixed reviews because of durability issues. I took a chance on ordering it and it arrived yesterday. All my supplies fit nicely in the compartments with plenty of room to spare in the back pocket. It is nice to be able to carry my easel in the side pocket. Before I carried it as a separate bag. I will add to this review later if I find durability issues. For now I am pleased with the overall design, construction of the bag, and that I am able to consolidate all my art supplies into one bag.

Great buy for the price
I use this every other day to take to class. For the price its a good buy. The only thing I would change is the zippers. They tend to get stuck often. Not horribly but enough to be annoying at times. It's also a great pack to take to conventions when you're planning on buying a lot of artwork.

Perfect for 18x24 Sketch pads
I was concerned when buying this that my sketch pad wouldn't fit even though the specs said it would and gladly it did! I am using this to commute to and from school so we'll see how durable this portfolio really is in the future but so far after a day of use it was perfect, the pockets allow lots of storage for supplies, did have a chemically smell on arrive but thats okay. also there were some loose threads but I just signed the ends w a lighter to be safe and to prevent any breakage

Straps not attached
It’s cool and all but the straps came unattached. Like I don’t even know how to attach them. Did they just not finish my bag? What the hell

I highly recommend this.
This portfolio saved my hide for my last drawing class, because I could carry it on my back and then carry my artbox in the other hand and my food/coffee in the other. The only recommendation I have is to double reinforce the stitching on the handle if you're going to carry it like a suitcase, because it broke on me. I sewed it back on and there are no problems once it's been double stitched. The backpack straps are sturdy though, and that's probably how it should be carried if you're carrying a newsprint pad and a couple of Strathmore drawing pads and rulers.

Artists travel bag
Bought this for my son's college art class. I found this to be able to hold all his supplies including an 18 x 24 sketch pad. Only problem is its wearing a little and overall quality c poi old be better but considering the price it's well worth it . This makes him holding his work in class so much easier. Would recommend for art students or anyone starting out as artists.

Well made!
This portfolio backpack has several zippered compartments. It easily holds your artwork and supplies! Great investment when you are hiking to that special spot in the woods, on the beach or in the park to create your art.

Large and Sturdy
There's plenty of space for all of my watercolour supplies. It's not made of cheap plastic and the zippers seem like they won't break. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Not a quality product
Don’t be wooed by the low price - this bag is not great quality at all. It arrived with the zippers all split so I don’t expect them to last for very long. It’s a nice big bag, but if you can spend a bit more to get a quality product, would recommend going that route.
