If you are referring to the 'insurance' policy; it means a refund of the insurance. If you are referring to the 'Amazon Return' policy then it means to get a refund of the 'purchased item'.

If there was an error in transferring over some data to the hard drive, but otherwise it is working, can I use this to get the deleted data back?

After reading the terms and condition, it does refer to recovery of data without restriction to drive failure, as long as you can send the device in a proper manner. I believe you can contact them at 1-800-261-9859 for more information. Hope this helps

Excellent value for Data Recovery Service Protection. I hope I never need to use it!

This is one of thos products that you purchase and hope to never have to use! I bought this alongside of my recent purchase of a Zheino mSATA SSD 256GB M3 Internal mSATA Drive 3D Nand Flash Solid State Drive. Amazon offered up this protection when I added the item to my cart. I am very happy that Amazon does that! I knew I was taking my chances with am off branded drive. Having this sort of protection for the very small price that it was is a no brainier. I will update this review if anything changes. I personally know how much Data Recovery Services cost (Very Expensive)! With that being said, the cost of this offered protection is outstanding! I also would recommend always having multiple backups of anything you consider important, as successful data recovery is never a guarantee!

Its a flash memory warranty

The only thing that would make me change the rating is if the memory that I got it for failed & the company didn't uphold the warranty. Neither has happened yet & hopefully never will. If it does, I'll come back & update my review (if it doesn't go well).

Warranty

I added a warranty when I purchased my Photo Flash auto backup. I hope I've covered all of my bases as too often these warranties don't do what they say they'll do. Inexperience prompted me to buy this so here's hoping (1) that I never have to use it and (2) it's for real. Only gave it 3 stars because of those reasons. I'll update if I ever have to use it.
