Weleda Citrus Deodorant, 3.4 Fluid Ounce

The Weleda Citrus Deodorant has a wonderfully NATURAL citrus smell that is simply amazing. Most products have a chemical-artificial citrus smell, or a citrus smell mixed with other smells like fruits or flowers, completely ruining the experience. While flowery smelling products are easy to find, good, natural citrus smelling products aren't easy to find. This ones rules.It's natural with none of the common offenders found commonly in deodorants. I love the glass bottles. They are a nice touch. You can re-use and re-purpose them or recycle them. I re-use them. The bottles are really well made and reminds me of when we were little, when almost everything was packaged in quality containers.Folks, there is no such thing as a 12 hour effective natural deodorant. To be hyper effective, a product has to block your sweat glands like most mainstream commercial products do. However, that is not good for your body in the long run. The other solution is heavy use of chemicals, which again is not very good for your health. Thirdly, a good strong artificial chemical smell can mask the rest. I don't fancy smelling like my deodorant, unless it's a wonderful smell like this one. If I want to make myself smell good, I have perfumes for that, and I hate it when my shampoo/conditioner/deodorant competes with, and ruins my perfume/cologne. Yes, this product is not as effective as a chemical-laden, sweat gland-blocking product, but the two cannot be compared. They are two different animals. I re-apply as needed and I don't need to remove most clothes to re-apply. I can re-apply by pulling the neckline of most tops, or if it's short sleeved, by pulling the sleeve. It's a spray so you don't have to reach the arm pit. And if some gets on your clothes? It's never stained any of my clothes, and unlike even some high end designer perfumes that you can never get the smell out of clothes, this smell comes off in the was very easily. And what a pleasure it is to re-apply! You get to bask in the smell that, because it's a spray, invariably reaches your nose every time you do. Each individual's mileage will vary as sweat strength/smell varies greatly among individuals, in my case a spray every 6-8 hours is sufficient.I often use this as my perfume as well, i.e. I spray my under arm area liberally, and skip the perfume. Ok, I'll admit that there have been days that I've sprayed this on my stomach and neck as well to use it as a perfume. The smell is just so great folks, if you are into citrus smells, that is.It dries almost immediately and is very comfortable. You don't have a wet or slimy armpit like with most other products. There is absolutely no white marks on your armpit or clothes! None!Until I found this I was using Miessence Aroma-free doeodorant (I couldn't find a smell on their line that I liked), which was ok, but this is way better. Miessence is a roll-on and you have that roll-on feeling until it dries. Even when it dried, you could "feel it." Which is the case with most mainstream deodorants as well. Basically, the mainstream products work by covering your armpit with a thick layer of product.Pros:1. Great, natural citrus smell.2. Non-aerosol.3. Re-usable, environmentally friendly glass bottle.4. Good for you and good for your health.5. Lasts 6-8 hours (for me)6. Doesn't ruin clothes by staining.7. Doesn't ruin clothes by the smell attaching to the clothes permanently.8. Dries immediately and is very comfortable from them moment you spray it on.9. No white marks on your armpit or your clothes.Cons:1. I don't have any cons only because I do not expect a natural product to perform like a chemical-laden product.

I've been using Weleda products for about 20 years. Haven't found anything better. Effective and natural - really stops/eliminates odor.

My skin's so damn sensitive, it breaks out if I even *think* about a new skincare product! I have tried all types and brands of “natural” deodorants, and have never found one that didn’t give me a rash. Until now! Smells great, actually lasts the 24 hours it claims, and no more trips to the dermatologist. Thank goodness. I like it so much, I put it on my Subscribe and Save, to help with cost. (I do think it’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth it.)

I am thrilled that I switched to this deodorant from my old aluminum based brand. I had growing concerns about using many chemicals on my skin because as I get older I have noticed my skin seems to be more sensitive to things. I have also been becoming more environmentally aware and trying to use more natural products.My main concerns when I bought this product were obviously the following:"Will I be smelly?"No, the product does a great job preventing body odor for me. I am a server at a restaurant in Florida, where it is often hot and muggy outside and I have never smelled foul odors from my underarms since I switched. Surprisingly, I actually feel like it lasts longer than my previous brand (Dove's Cucumber and Melon scented stick) and I told my coworkers and friends to tell me if I ever smell bad and I have only received compliments."Does this product have too strong of a 'rose' scent, making me smell like a hippy?"Well, yeah. It kind of does. Haha. Honestly, it is much like using rose extract or rose oil. It is very overwhelming when you first apply the product. I try to leave my arms up for 30 seconds to a minute so the product can dry (which reduces the smell) before I finish getting dressed. I typically use about 4-5 pumps under each arm and am always shocked by the astounding amount of rose-scent sieging my senses. I typically wear perfumes and body sprays that are floral-based however so after dries it does get cloaked by similar scents.If you are not a "floral" person, meaning you don't enjoy or smell as good with perfumes or products with floral based notes then I would recommend getting a different scent.Finally, my last concern..."Will I start sweating buckets?"I do sweat, and it's not cute. This product does not prevent perspiration, so my underarms do get wet on really hot days. Thankfully it hasn't been to the point of embarrassment and one great thing is that this product does not stain my shirts, nor does my sweat. Before this, my white shirts would get stains under the arms from sweating. I now realize that was from my previous products, not my sweat.After using this product I have found that I can go longer without concern of my deodorant wearing off, and I can wear black without fear of the evil "white stripes of embarrassment" from appearing around my waist line from pulling my clothes on after application. I love how this product feels on my skin, it is a nice mist and it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I won't use regular deodorant ever again.

I really like this deodorant and it works great! My biggest concern was body odor and this helps reduce it by a lot; I don’t smell at all with this. For whatever reason, the deodorant I was using before stopped working on my skin.Two sprays under each armpit is enough for me. It dries quickly and isn’t sticky. Instead of buying and cutting up limes, this works too haha.I would still pair this with another deodorant to combat the general sweating. I recommend this to anyone concerned with body odor, not so much to prevent sweating.
