Great gift idea
My daughter loves to make things with clay so I got this for her for Christmas with clay and she can make almost everything described in the book now. It gives great detail on steps and what is needed for each item you choose to make

bad condition!
wow, I thought this book was supposed to have light wear to it, it was in BAD condition! was so bend at the spine, that when we tried to open the pages, they will not open with out tearing!

Nice Resource
A fun source for ideas to make with Sculpy. The kids (ages 4 and 5) are able to make reasonable facsimiles that they are pleased with (with some help). Easy to follow instructions.

Model Magic book
Although I work with polymer clay, my granddaughter loved working with Model Magic making these easy but cute figures. I also adapted one design for a polymer clay figure. Great book, fast delivery.

Too small - not enough detail
The characters in this book are cute. Seem simple to make. The problem with this book though is there are 52 characters and only 25 pages in the book. So you get 2-3 characters crammed to a page, with each character being explained in only 2-3 steps. And, not all the steps have pictures, so you have to rely on the description to get it right. I wouldn't recommend this book as a first book. If you want a clay character book with way better descriptions, I would recommend Annie Lang's Polymer Clay Characters: 26 Friendly Figures to Easily Create With Clay by Stacey Morgan. Even though there are only 26 characters in that book compared to 52 in this one, you get 2-3 pages of explanation and plenty of pictures for each character

Inspirational
I purchased this book for my 13 year old grand daughter for Christmas. She was delighted by the pictures and easy instructions and immediately set to work creating some of the characters. She now has a menagerie of clay critters. This book is wonderfully colorful and has easy to follow instruction for budding "clay animators". This is one of many purchases I make through Amazon and as usual I'm never disappointed in the fast delivery and quality of the product.
