Double Sided Cast Iron Griddle Pan for BBQ - 30 cm

I have lots of cast iron pans that I be collected over the years and I wanted to get something to use as an oven tray. This is really good , solid and thick and works as a pizza stone and double sided griddle perfectly. Easy to clean and season and a great price.

If you are looking for 1 item that can cook many different things this may not be the item. It’s brilliant for pancakes and grilling veggies (on the grilled side), but there are a few issues I’ve noticed.Pros:1. It’s cast iron, and adds a great crispy brown bottom to anything you cook on it2. Cast iron is healthier for you than cooking in aluminium.3. The more you season it over the time the more nonstick it becomes (just don’t leave it to soak in the sink- look up cast iron maintenance before buying).Cons:1. It’s not enamelled cast iron (but you knew that already when buying) so you have to stay on top of seasoning it with oil (and you can’t just use any oil- I use extra virgin olive oil but it smokes a lot so make sure you have a window open if you are going to do the same).2. It’s not flat, it domes so even if it’s screaming hot and you’ve smoked up the kitchen, the batter, if too runny (making crepe for e.g, or frying an egg), means it will spread everywhere and be a pain in the bum to cook and remove.3. Bigger than the largest standard burner (UK) on a hob (stove top), I have a ceramic hob with four burners and I have to manoeuvre it around for the heat to hit the corners minding it doesn’t scratch the glass 😩.Overall opinion:I will be keeping it as I love the way pancakes and grilled veg cooks on it, I make thicker pancakes batter usually. The grilling side is a huge hit in our household. I’ve removed 1 star for the reasons stated above. Hope this helps.

I use it over gas or coal. It cooks great on both sides and will get better with time. After use, heat it up to clean it and use a brush same as for bbq. Enjoy. Best for ribeye steak.
