Don’t listen to fake reviews.
Does not fit DC65 as stated.I had to hack it up to fit only to finally realize the dust canister would not fit and the vacuum line was to short.What a complete waste of time.

Perfect
The first time I had it replaced it was still under warranty. This time however it was not. After it was fixed the first time I knew it would break again because the neck that attaches to the handle was thin compared to the original part. This part feels more sturdy like the original one. I just wish there was a video on YouTube for me but with patience I figured it out. So if a 56 year old lady can do it so can anyone else.

Keep the old till you receive the new part.
This comes stripped down so save the old till you receive the new. May need a part or two from the old.
