Used 24/7
I bought this for an elderly couple that I live with. They were using old fashioned ice trays, and he was having trouble refilling and stacking them in the freezer. I had brought this to their attention some time ago, and they of course said, "nawww.. We don't neeed that!" Well? I got it for them anyway, and it is absolutely a blessing! 1. Shipment was very fast. 2. It was packed, and received well. 3. It took literally 3 minutes to set up. A few minutes after I added water to the tank, it began to do its thing. We all had fun watching in amazement how it would fill up the tray (2 sizes available) and dump them into its bin as if some robot was inside. The ice cubes are soft enough for her to sit and chew on them all day, as they don't get as cold as regular freezer cubes. It also has to do with the shape. They dissolve almost immediately in water or soda etc. but leave it nice and cold. It's good for about 3 to 4 people to get a fair amount of ice for their drink, and it instantly starts up the process of making more. It's very sparing on the water, so we have to maybe fill it once a day, but again.... It is used CONSTANTLY. It's quiet, it's easy for anyone to use, and it works fast. We have freed up a large amount of space in the freezer, and I don't have to worry about any of them falling on ice or water that spills on the floor. I would wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone's office, or home. You WILL find a need for it! It doesn't produce a huge amount, but it produces enough, and fast enough.

Great little ice maker...gets the job done, and will pay for itself before long.
Surprising yield per fill. Set and forget, either bin full of ice or out of water, it will automatically pause with appropriate indicating light showing status. We don't even leave it on our counter all the time...one day operation will give us as much or more ice as our usually purchased 10 lb sacks at the grocery would. Considering that our rather small, rural store charges well over $3 for one of those, the maker will indeed pay for itself before long. Another thing to enjoy is how easy it is to keep the pieces separated one from another, since there is little excess water involved instead of the melt during trips back from grocery to home. And although the quite small pieces at first give the impression that it will take forever to get much ice out of the process, I timed a few of the start to finish batches (just 6 pieces) and it really is only 6 minutes. Walk away, ignore it for a while, and from morning to evening, a few bin emptying moments - and who doesn't walk into their kitchen several times a day, anyway - which take seconds leave enough ice to last as long or longer than those 10 lb sacks. Every bit as good as advertised. UPDATE: Now 10 months into using this little gem, here in the hot summertime, we have been known to start it up early in the day and fill gallon bags to use for several days, even as we use it for our drinks during the day. At times, it runs pretty much dawn to bedtime. It's still operating as well as when first bought, and since we live in a small town with grocery or gas stations that charge more per bag of ice than, for example, a Walmart might, it has easily paid for itself in both dollars and convenience. If we are busy when it either runs out of water or has the bin full, it just waits until we get to it. We will likely use it until heavy usage causes it to croak. Then we'll buy another.

Great purchase - fast, quiet, and fully automated!
This Silonn Countertop Ice Maker has been an absolutely great purchase! It's everything I hoped for in a countertop ice maker and more. Outstanding performance: Super fast: 9 cubes ready in just 6 minutes - perfect when you need ice quickly High capacity: Produces 26lbs of ice in 24 hours, so you never run out Fully automated: The automation system works perfectly - just add water and it handles everything Very quiet operation: Runs so quietly you barely notice it's working Great features: Two ice cube sizes: Love having the option between small and large cubes for different drinks Countertop friendly: Perfect size for kitchen counter without taking up too much space Easy to use: Simple operation with reliable performance Perfect for: Families who use lots of ice Entertaining and parties Anyone tired of waiting for freezer ice trays Small kitchens without built-in ice makers Why I love it: The combination of speed, quiet operation, and full automation makes this so convenient. I can have fresh ice whenever I need it without any hassle. Highly recommend for anyone wanting fast, reliable ice production at home. This has been such a great addition to my kitchen!

Very happy with ice machine
Love this machine small not to take up to much space like others . The handle makes it to pick up basket of ice to dump into ice container in my freezer. Cleaning is easy to do and I ordered some brushes to help with the tight spots . Ease to use and understand not to loud but can hear when ice is done to go into basket. Can do small or large ice .15 minutes your basket is full of ice once it runs more the more solid the ice becomes.

Perfect for me! (Not for everyone.)
I love cold drinks with lots of ice, but I live in an area prone to tropical storms and flooding where "boil water" notices are frequent. So connecting an ice maker to a tap water source is ill-advised. Consequently, I was buying bags of ice at the store every week. With this unit I can use bottled water and make all the ice I want. It has been reliable so far, and has already paid for itself. I really like the bullet-shaped cubes. They melt slowly enough to keep drinks cold, yet crush more easily than large cubes or crescents when used in a blender. Although it wasn't a major factor in my purchase, I plugged the unit into an ECOFLOW portable power station and solar panel just to see how it functioned. It pulled 1.8 amps when making ice, and worked the same as it did on regular house current, confirming that I could use that setup to make ice while camping or during a power outage. Note: This is not a "set it and forget it" commercial ice maker. You fill the well with water, it makes 9 cubes about every six minutes, and dumps them into a basket (and yes, that makes some noise, of course). That basket is in an insulated compartment, but it's not refrigerated, so if you leave the ice in it as shown in the product photos, it will eventually start to melt (the water drips back into the well). With that in mind, I usually make ice while I'm a watching a game on TV or something, so I can get up and dump each batch of ice into a container in my kitchen freezer before it starts to melt (and refill the 1.2L water well if needed). After three or four hours, I have enough ice (10+ pounds) for the week. This unit was priced considerably lower when I bought it. I'm not sure I would have purchased it for the current $75 (lots of similar choices for less), but I'm glad I have it.

The quickness of the ice
Love this thing. I am writing a review several years after I got this BUT I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. We ran that thing into the ground. 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 2 years till it stopped. I just bought another one to replace it. AMAZING MACHINE!

good while it lasted, which was only until the warranty expired
worked as described, just what i needed. living in an apartment that has the usual insufficient sized, bare minimum refigerator/freezer (no icemaker included, not enough room in freezer for both ice trays and a bin, and food). purhased shortly before an apartment upgrade that provided sufficient space for adding another countertop appliance. always had plenty of ice on hand even if i didn't always transfer to freezer. a couple months ago i connected it to a smart plug which didn't work out as i'd hoped, auto/remote shutoff only, scheduled auto on would only put device in standby mode, also couldn't schedule self cleanings. wasn't real happy with this, but at least it was still working, until yesterday, roughly just under 2 months after the warranty expired. ran all day, but made no ice whatsoever. already ordered a replacement that will do the automations i hoped to accomplish with a smart plug. also disconnected from the smart plug just in case that was the problem. no change, still won't make ice. guess i should consider myself fortunate that i got a couple extra months use from it or that there's enough ice in the freezer bin to last until the replacement arrives tomorrow.

Easy set up!
So much better than my first one. Bigger basket, bigger cubes, works fast. Great product.
