Reflections of a Multiple Myeloma Patient

I bought this because I have been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. I did NOT like the book. First of all, it's overpriced for what you get (it's more like a booklet.) Second, it is just one man's philosophical rambling about his illness and in the end he dies. Not useful. Not uplifting. Don't recommend it.

Disclaimer - Herwig was a professional colleague of mine whom I admired greatly for his acumen in intellectual property.This memoir was an amazing study in objectivity by a patient. Scientist by training, Dr. von Morze analyzed not only his own emotions, but also those of his caregivers in this candid diary of his ordeal. Most striking was his use of humor in all situations pertaining to his disease. Herwig made this an easy read, until the ultimate end. Thank you, Herwig, for your candid assessment of end of life issues.
