Hitachi 331973 Motor DC 10.8 V Replacement Part

This motor was an exact replacement for the motor in my Hitachi rotary tool. Keep in mind that these motors are not intended to be driven hard. They spin fast but when they are loaded down with heavy grinding, it will heat the motor quickly. Let it sit for a few minutes without over working it, and it should last a while. I've already burned out two grinders doing a lot of heavy duty grinding so I had to order two replacement motors. One way to extend the life of these machines is to alternate between several grinders if you need to do a lot of grinding. This will allow enough time for them to cool off. I have three grinders now since I've replaced the motors in two machines. Amazon was the only place which had them, and I waited for the price to change to get a good deal. I also bought the last two which were in stock. They arrived ahead of their scheduled date so shipping only took a few days.

Hitachi made the absolutely best cordless rotary tool ever made. And now Metabo doesn’t make it any more. So I purchased two of these motors, so I can repair my tools if they break. I absolutely love these cordless rotary tools.

After many years of hard use, the motor/collet coupling failed in my Hitachi mini grinder. This was an exact replacement and it works like new again!

Needed to replace the motor in my GP10DL rotary tool. This is a perfect drop in replacement. Two solder points and you are good to go. Would buy again but hopefully this time I wont loan my tool out where it'll get abused.
