Kinfolk Volume 13: The Imperfect Issue

This is my first Kinfolk magazine. I just received it yesterday and savored every single page. There is not an essay in there that I read and didn't love or appreciate it. This volume's theme is Imperfection and I think every single one of us can relate to that theme. I am hooked and I am now going back to purchase all the availble past issues. This is not your grocery-store-flipping-through-the-images type of magazine. Even if you're not an avid reader, you will still appreciate what this magazine has to offer. If you're still not sure, if you live close to an Anthropologie store, go in and read a few pages, you won't regret it. Note: Anthropologie has a lot of similar-esque magazines like Kinfolk that's worth checking out too!It deserves 5 stars but I am giving it 4 because while the design is beautiful, the font is so small. After reading the small font for a while, it really puts a strain on your eyes and making the experience less pleasurable.

I like it for me but I wanted it for a guy and found it had way too may feminine styles.

Kinfolk magazine is nothing shy of excellence. It is a quarterly magazine that achieves a level of fine-art with its literary style, its photography, its design, and its purist beauty. Truly a well done piece of art embodied in a quarterly magazine.

Spotted this issue in a coffee shop on vacation and it was too (im)perfect not to buy. Lovely.

Such a creative idea and beautifully put together book! It's a favorite on our shelf.

One of my favorite issues. Finding beauty in imperfection. Highly recommend. The price is also great - cheaper than anywhere else.

Not bad, but not my favourite of the kinfolk

This particular issue is about "imperfection" - making me wonder if it was supposed to come dirty - the front and back cover? Anyways, it didn't look well for a $20 coffee table book, so I took some windex to it, which got rid of most of it, but also took some of the matted look with it lol. I'm not terribly disappointed, but still not great!

La revista Kinfolk es una maravilla para los sentidos. El encuadernado, el diseño... es para leer y conservar. No puede gustarme más.

Para todos aquellos que amamos las cosas hechas con amor esta es la publicación por excelencia, el único inconveniente es que solo se edita en ingles, pero no dejen de pasar la oportunidad.

Seit einigen Jahren schon lese ich Kinfolk und es begeistert immer wieder. Wunderschönes Papier, Fotos, Geschichten für Menschen die gerne Freunde um einen Tisch sammeln und umringt von einer verrückten und sich schnell drehenden Welt Ruhe finden.
