Pro-level Hardware with USB SuperSpeed transfers
I have an older Nikon D800 which takes high speed Compact Flash and SD cards. My previous card readers were the previous Lexar reader which was USB2.0 and had a terrible plasticky body. After 6 years of use, it has stopped working altogether. But 6 years of real-world use is actually really good. Therefore, another Lexar Pro reader made sense to get. To my surprise, this isn't just a replacement. It's a big upgrade. The triangular design looks good on my desk and it's easy to just face the card type I am using. CF on one side and SD on the next. Transfer speeds are really good and I was pleasantly surprised to see USB-C on the actual device. It comes with a USB SS cable (super speeds for USB 3), but having a USB-C interface is a logical next step to have. These cards can't got to Thunderbolt transfers so SS is appropriate. In other words, the limiting speed factor is the card's read/write speeds. In a BlackMagic Disk speed, I got about 82MB/s in a CF card that is rated at 90MB/s, and about 255MB/s (read) on a SD card rated at 300MB/s. That's quite impressive. Finally, the value for money is a no-brainer. 6 years ago, I would have had to spend at least $100 for a SanDisk equivalent (made with a robust metal enclosure). At almost a fifth of that price, if I knew about this product sooner, I would have purchased it already. Thus far very pleased. I did see a review reporting issues with bent pins. That can happen with any card reader if the CF cards are inserted without any care. My gear is getting pretty old, but I still get amazing performance from them. That's largely because I treat my gear with care and respect and, in exchange, expect the best performance. I hope to have this card reader for many years to come.

Best reader I have used
When I started using the R5C and CF Express cards I searched for a good reader that could do SD and CFExpress. I bought the model from ProGrade. Had good reviews and from a good company. My Windows 10/11 machine would show errors and say it was not installed properly. I always had to eject the whole reader and not just the card in the OS. It always worked but made me nervous about what was going on. ProGrade was helpful and RMA'd the reader and gave me a new one. Same problem. Must be some conflict with my specific hardware/drivers. I needed a second reader and decided to go with this Lexar model. I think it is superior, nice weight and build quality, sit solidly on the desk. All the errors and issues with the other reader did not happen with the Lexar. I don't like the LED light that stays on when not in use, but other than that it has fast speeds and no issues.

Requires High Speed USB Cable
This card reader works fine but you MUST use the included cable or a high speed USB cable that supports USB 3.2. If you use a "regular" cable the device will not be recognized by your computer and the device LED will not illuminate. I could not find a warning on the package about this.

This is a darn-good card reader for photographers
This kit is VERY tough. It's not meant for travel, but that means that I can keep my thumb-sized reader in my backpack and leave this plugged into my workstation at home. Having SD, Micro, and CF is the perfect combination as I can sync the memory cards from my full-frame DSLR, Hybrid SLR, and drone using the same device. It's nice and heavy so I'm not worried about knocking it off the desk or misplacing it. The USB 3 speeds are very quick and the chassis doesn't seem to get as warm as my previous adapter. It can be hard to find a combo reader these days that supports CF, so it was nice to find something that wasn't just a cheap CF-to-USB 2.0 adapter.

built like a tank, fast transfers
I wanted to go with a known brand for my camera card reader. The review on the "no name" models are just too iffy. This one is solid, has a good cable, and transfers as quickly as USB 3 will allow.
