BARTON Canvas Quick Release Watch Band Straps

This is my first canvas watch strap and I can’t believe how comfortable it feels in relatively hot and humid weather. Why didn’t I think of this before? Because Amazon gives us all the options without being pushy. Couldn’t resist to mention that. I never thought I’d buy grey as a color either but my wife wasn’t nearby when I added it to my cart so there you have it. Now that I put it on a watch with a dark grey dial, it’s obvious that this was the right option. Understated high quality makes for great value at this price. It’s soft on the skin yet sturdy. Very easy to put on and the perfect thickness and weight (right in the middle between thin and too heavy). I love it!

Purchased this watch band as a replacement for the original rubber band of my Luminox after it wore out after three years of daily wear and heavy use. While it’s a 21mm band, it’s slightly too narrow for the case of the watch, which is specified as being 21mm. Not a problem, but a 22mm band might be a better choice. The construction and stitching of the canvas band is good and feels like it will hold up well with light/moderate use. My only complaint about the band is the included quick release lugs. They are too narrow for the holes in the case: went in fine, but would not remain in place securely. Fiddled for a bit to remove the new lugs from the canvas band, and replaced them with the original Luminox lugs from the old band, and now it feels securely attached. The QR lugs seem to be a good idea for a thinner cased piece, but I am not a “switch out watch band often” sort of person, so I have no need of it. Altogether a nice band that seems like it will hold up well. Update, May 2026: It’s been about 2.5 years since I’ve had this watchband, worn almost daily. With impacts, friction, sweat, all kinds of solvents, oils, and other stuff getting worked into the canvas, the color has faded a bit and some of the thin external fabric has worn away, showing the internal fabric structure, and the retaining loops on the top band have disintegrated, but, even with hard use, still holds up well and shows extensive “character.”

I just received my new Barton canvas watch strap. My initial impression is that it appears to be very well-made. The material is double thickness and stitched full length, with additional stitching around stress points such as the buckle holes and the holes where the quick release lever of the watch pin pokes through. I think the layered canvas is probably glued together as well as stitched. Of course, right out of the box the strap is pretty stiff, but I’m confident it will loosen up with wear. Mine seems perfectly at home on a Seiko SRP775, a fairly large diver with a 22mm lug distance. On my 7.5 inch wrist I’m using the middle of the ten buckle holes. Perfect. Because Seiko divers typically use what are called “fat bars” – spring bars that are thicker in both the body and tips than most, I swapped out the Barton provided adjustable bars. Some aftermarket straps don’t have a large enough hole to accommodate the fat bars, but that’s not a problem with the Barton. Removal of the quick release spring bars was easy, and the fat bars slipped right in. As stated, the strap is brand new so I can’t yet comment on how it will hold up over time, but first impressions are good. If like me you’re looking for a rugged alternative to the ubiquitous NATO straps, these Bartons are worth a look.

Very nice band and early to put on.

I purchased a 2nd band after putting the first one through some abuse, and I'm here to sum it all up. Band installation is easy, no tools needed to install / remove (but look at the band you're replacing cause factory bands usually need tools). Canvas is great for getting wet / sweaty. Color held up great over the last year. Wore for at least 150 days (workouts, underwater, even a half dozen trips through the ocean) and the only reason I'm replacing is it didn't hold up to really high sulphur hot springs. It became discolored and turned brown. I thought it might but I wanted to see if it would surprise me again, but it still works. Love these canvas bands for my daily use.

The strap itself is very nice and good quality. The material looks like reinforced canvas, almost like denim, and it feels durable and comfortable on the wrist. It also looks great on the watch. However, the main issue is the quick-release pin. The product claims it can be installed without tools, but it did not properly fit my watch. The strap kept coming loose from the watch lugs. I had to remove the original pin from the strap (which was difficult and almost damaged the strap) and use the original spring bar from my previous strap. Only then it fixed properly. My watch is an original Tissot, so I expected the quick-release system to work as advertised. Unfortunately it didn’t. Because the strap looks good and feels durable, I’m giving it 3 stars, but the quick-release system did not perform as promised.

New favorite watch bands. The quick release is the bees damn knees. I can switch from a leather band at lunch meeting to my canvas for work and back to leather for dinner. Colors are all right up my alley but could see some louder more bold colors going over pretty well. Had to do a return beauce my watch was a little bigger than the band i picked but ut was hassle free and easy. Plenty of hokes for size adjustment whole build feels pretty solid. No stretch but its not very stiff wven right out of the box. Bought it because i hatedbthe bronze metallic cloth thung that came with my watch because utt was less expensive, decent looking color, and had several options for color material ect. I niw own 4 of these bands for 2 watches.

La correa no ha respondido a las expectativas. La calidad del material y las terminaciones es muy pobre, no tiene el grosor que aparenta en las fotos y es bastante rígida, la he recibido hoy pero tiene pinta de no aguantar en condiciones el uso habitual. Es bastante corta de longitud, tengo una muñeca delgada y apenas puedo pasar las dos trabillas. El metal del cierre es de buena calidad y el sistema rápido de cambio es facil de usar. Entiendo que una correa de este tipo de calidad suele ser mucho más cara, pero la relación calidad precio me parece mala. Una decepción, no la recomiendo. Devuelta está misma tarde

A falta de ver cómo embejece se ve muy bien y de buena calidad, muy contento.

Me gusta mucho esta correa de tela. He dado un toque más moderno a mi reloj automático clásico. La correa es muy cómoda para el uso diario y es muy cómoda y rápida la extracción. Así alterno la correa de tela con una de silicona que uso cuando hago deporte.
