Gil Hibben GenX Pro Small Throwing Knife Triple Set

Perfectly balanced and the perfect throwing size/weight for me. Exactly 7" long. I've hit brick with these hard enough to get bounce back and none have broken. I had to grind a new tip on one after said event, but that's it. As a woman, I have some trouble with arm fatigue with my larger knives. With these I can get a lot of throwing time in and they are equally good from handle or blade, spin, and no spin. They come with a black canvas belt sheath which is sturdy but kind of ugly for such elegant knives. Other than that - perfect. Update: 11/23/2017 I throw these regularly along with a set of heavier 10" knives for which I have included a link. Of the many knives I own these are by far and away the BEST for both my strength and no-spin Szco Supplies Heavy Throwing Knife Set (3-Piece) throwing style. I have only ever had to re-grind one of the tips, as I mentioned above, and other than scratches from heavy use they are still as good as the day they arrived. Got them out today with family here for the holiday and the kids really put them through hell, and by kids I mean teenagers, but they are no worse for wear.

Super sharp, must be dulled down for safety. Cut myself twice. Once on the foot. Perfect weight for a small knife. Can be used defensively. Better for the experienced and better for no-spin . 6 to 7 foot range.

Great throwing knives. Well balanced. Super "pointy sharp." Their is not a lot of blade sharpness to these, but they are throwing knives and not designed for "cutting." I found they they throw well, leaving the hand smoothly with a good feel. You can easily learn to flip these and design a multitude of different techniques. These knives also have great lines, making them attractive as a set. The nylon sheath is very study and holds all three knives perfectly. Makes for easy concealment if that's your thing. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this set. I suggest practicing with just one at first so that it you bang it up a little, you are not banging them all up at the same time. If you hit concrete or block, you will dull the point, but it is nothing you can't fix with a file or grinder. These are nice, fun knives.

I'm a small side of average sized female and this is 1 of 7 sets I own. This is my 2nd favorite set of knives, and it's a very close 2nd. These are amost exactly as long as my hand from heel to just past my middle finger. I can understand how someone with larger hands would say these are too small, but I love them. Holes in some of my other knives' handles feel like they were drilled straight through the handle and tend to tear up the side of my index finger. All of my Gil Hibben knives have a soft bevel in both sides of the hole and it just makes the experience that much more satisfying. Each knife weighs 2.8 oz.

Have been using the larger genx sets for many thousands of throws...excellent choice! ! But as for the small ones...they work by it takes a hit more effort than most would like to give...id stick with the larger ones anyday

Well balanced and fairly sharp, easy to sharpen. Made out of AUS-6 wrapped stainless. It's a good lightweight knife. Good for all skill levels. One of my favorites. For a few dollars more you can get the next size up.

Great design, throws well, better for throwing at very soft wood, or wet your pine before throwing. I prefer to throw at closed cell foam targets I made. They are sharp with a thin point that will bend if you throw against hardwoods and even pine, as my first target was pine 2x10 bends points on this model.

Die Messer sehen gut aus und sie sind sehr scharf (warum eigentlich?). Das war es aber auch schon. Für mich sind die Messer zu klein und zu leicht. Ich hatte diese Modelle ausprobieren wollen, weil die anderen Messer, die ich nutze, schon mal brechen (bin halt Anfänger). Diese Messer hier brechen leider noch schneller (4 Wurfdurchgänge). Ich werde daher wieder zu meinen alten Messern von Smith & Wesson zurückgehen (umgerechnet halber Preis und gefühlt doppelt so haltbar).
