Myers Pickups The Grip Plus 6 with Bass Extension Piano Accordion Bass and Treble Microphone System with 3 Flexible Micro-Goosenecks

I would imagine we aren't exactly the norm for the sort of band that uses this, as this is used for an accordion within a "Drunken Folk Metal" band. With that we certainly face a few elements that give us a bit more hassle than your standard user may, with feedback as we raise the level to match that of electric guitars and drums. However the quality we receive is vastly superior to other, cheaper, options that are on the market.The company itself, Myers Pickups, really ensures that each and every customer / musician is happy with their product. Their response time is impeccable and they really do put their customer first. This is a must for a musician who wants to ensure they are taken care of.I would highly recommend both the individual pickup and the company as a whole.Cheers!

I am part of a german schuhplattler group from New York and i recently bought this mic in order to make it easier on me to get a good mic amplification. I recently used this mic at one of our festivals and the sound quality was great. Very good mic for any accordionist who cant afford a $3000+ accordion and can only get a small accordion and still want great amplification.

I already own the Grip Plus 6, but needed something to pick up the left hand. This fits the bill, sounds real good, and does not cost too much. As a bonus, you get a couple different options for attaching the left-side mic.

I’ve had this mic for my live accordion playing for three years.First, Amazon sent me the wrong one, but Myers sent me the correct one immediately after contacting them, before I even sent back the first (I don’t remember why I contacted Myers instead of Amazon). The CEO even called me directly just an hour or so after I emailed.Second, as far as I could find, there’s nothing like this in the market of according mics at this price point.I do recommend also purchasing the Myers TRS to XLR cable was well. It’s long and lightweight.I chose to use Command strip Velcro to attach the mic to my accordion because I didn’t have a good flat spot to use with the suction cup attachment that comes with the mic. I also recommend getting some spike tape or gaff tape to keep the cables where you want them and out of the accordion bellows.

Love this microphone! Great sound! I move around when I play and the suction cup fell off. I have tape it on when I play.

This is a great pick up, gives a very authentic sound through the amplifier. Good mandolin tone. Several different options to attach it to the Mandolin and easy to control output from the preamp.

I love that I can just stick this mic to either of my accordions and be stage ready in minutes. It pairs well with a wireless rig I just got and allows me a smaller footprint on stage without sacrificing any sound quality.

Just wanted to say that I purchased the grip plus 6 with bass extension, and think that it is every bit of the performer as Myers says it is.
