Looks too small at first, but fits well
When I unboxed it, it looked like it was for a baby's mouth. Turns out it actually fits pretty well once you boil it, and is pretty comfortable to wear and it takes a punch well.

Fits ok
Decent price. Bought because it had good reviews, but it isn't really anything special. The only part that actually changes shape when you fit it is the top colored part, the black bottom part does not form you the mouth during the fitting process. What results is that the shape is quite as good of a fit and it isn't very tight, so if you open your mouth it doesn't hold itself onto your top teeth. When I was in football you could get this from any standard mouth guard bought at Walmart and it is nice because if you need to breath a lot or talk while using it, you don't need to worry about the mouth guard moving around or falling out if you open your mouth. Luckily for me, I am just using this to put in my mouth while weight lifting so I can get more tension, so I do not need to worry about it falling out, but if you're playing a sport I wouldn't recommend this mouth gaurd.

Top of the line
I train bjj and have tried several mouth guards. This one is by far my favorite. The gel makes it’s super comfortable and absorbs impact well. Would definitely recommend, try this one out if you aren’t sure what mouth guard to go with. Worth the money for sure.

Comfortable
I train BJJ as a hobbyist. I used some mouth guard from a big name store that was probably for football or something but it was bulky and I never liked it. Decided to look for a nicer one and found this. Great for the price. Case is nice and has holes to improve airflow. Molded to my teeth great.

Very comfortable mouthguard
I have 3 mouthguards now. I use them primarily for jiu jitsu, and occasionally for a little boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing. I have this Venum mouthguard and 2 different mouthguards from shock doctor. I haven't used the Venum one in action yet, so I will update the review once I've used it for a month. I will say it was very easy to mold, and it's very comfortable. I look forward to using it. I definitely think it will win over the shock doctor gel max, which wasn't as comfortable to mold and had some uncomfortable rubbing spots on the outer layer near the top lip. From my limited initial reaction though, I definitely recommend the Venum mouthguard.

Too much material
Full disclosure: this is the first mouth guard I've tried since I was a kid (I'm 39 now). Maybe this is just how mouth guards are, but I sure hope that isn't the case as I move on to trying others...If you have any amount of gag reflex, this is probably not going to be a good mouth guard for you. It's a lot of material to have in your mouth. I did the initial fitting, and even after cutting away the extra goo around the back molars, I was still gagging every time I put it in. So I tried fitting it again (the directions specify that you can do multiple fittings if the first one doesn't work out). No luck on the second one either -- still gagged on it. And this time enough goo had come out that it wasn't a tight fit anymore. The thing seems pretty solid in terms of durability. It's just A LOT of material.
