I've measured everything that I could with this little device!
With energy prices on the rise, I needed to find out what was draining power because the Meter seemed to over-report what I had been using. Background:I measured absolutely everything for weeks with this handy device and so far I suspect the Energy Company's Meter to be reporting incorrectly as everything seems to be +40% the actual use. e.g. If I tallied everything up and recorded 6.3 kwh, the meter would rise by 8 kwh and this constantly happened. 4.1 kwh ticked to 6 kwh, 5.6 kwh turned into 12 kwh. Some values were recorded within 1kwh accuracy in shorter time frames, but in a full day these differences add up and start to paint a strange picture. The Product:- Very easy to use, literally the embodiment of Plug and Play.- The Functions are intuitive, if people are saying that the numbers keep rising and coming down, that's probably the first setting they're on? Which shows the Wattage and can differ depending on usage, e.g. if you're on a PC and if it's working hard, the Wattage would rise. If your press Function, after this default setting, you'll be on the total KWH used.- I'd say the device is fairly accurate, it can definitely detect changes when more intensive settings are used. e.g. a Hairdryer on a higher heat setting. And it's consistent. I microwaved something for a minute, and repeated this and got the same values.Negatives:- The reset button it purposefully hard to reach, but needing to use that PIN every time is a bit of a hassle, I wish there was a way to store the little metal prickler ON the device so that I don't have to rummage around to find it.- As everyone reports, the values are hard to read without some sort of light as there's no backlight.Other comments:The most intensive device I used this was with a vacuum cleaner, the instructions say that if the device goes above 3000W, it would show a warning message, the most I've seen it go so far is around 2000W, but I don't want to risk going further. I wouldn't advise usage with a Washing Machine without monitoring for instance as this might use a lot of power. Can never be too safe.Overall, I am fond of this device, it helped me keep track of my energy usage. There was a lot of similarly shaped devices out there but I'm happy with it, even if it is hard to see.

Works well after some faffing.
Works to your purposes, whatever they may be out of the available functions. However, the screen is difficult to read as you have to have significant light and be basically eye level with the thing.Takes some time to understand how to work, I actually ended up tossing aside the booklet that came with it and instead looking for a YouTube video on a similar product which helped a lot more.

Readable display. Reasonably Accurate. Easy to set up and use.
I had an old plug-in energy monitor which I have never been able to use properly, The instructions were difficult to read and I could never get it to work. It has inputs for different rates at different times on different days and other menu options I could not fathom, so I bought two of these and another of a different make to see if one was easier to use than the other. The other was a Decdeal energy Monitor and was slightly more expensive than one of these which are branded besvic. I found both monitor types easy to use. you just have to press the COST button for four seconds and it starts flashing for you to input your electricity cost in £ per kWh. I didn't bother with any other inputs, because I just wanted to measure electricity consumption for 24 hours for several different devices. After 24 hours, all three meters gave a cost in £ so I was able to identify which appliances used most electricity and which used very little. I found the appliances on standby and mobile phone chargers used very little, whilst my high-end gaming PC with three monitors costs about £0.50 per day and the tropical fish tank about the same. One of my fridge freezers used £0.48 per day but the other used only £0.22 per day (it is newer). Negative feedback comments around Electricity Monitors mostly centre around an unreadable display and inaccurate measurements. I have to say that a bright, illuminated display would be worth having, but I never had any trouble reading the display on these monitors, although you have to be within two feet and looking fairly square on. In terms of accuracy, when measuring same device, over three days, I found that both besvic meters recorded £0.50 and the Decdeal showed £0.48, so there was not as much variation as I had feared. This does not prove they are giving an absolute accurate figure, but at least they were consistent. In terms of power measurement, the meters showed about 100W of power consumption for my PC on it's own, and 250W consumption with the three monitors turned on as well. That is equivalent to two and a half 100W light bulbs which seems about right to me, so I think they are reasonably accurate. Overall I found these easy to set up and use. With the recent astronomical increase in the price of electricity I think these are worth buying to help reduce energy costs by becoming more aware of the high cost appliances in your household.

Makes me think I am using less electricity than I am paying for
I am having doubts to the accuracy of these as so far every device/group of device i test this on is just costing me pennies for the day. However by bill is like £6 a day. I have not tested the fridge, the washer and dryer. The display seems like double vision at most angles. It is easy enough to set the cost per kwh and cycle to all the modes. It also holds the figures when unplugged which you will have to reset if you want a fresh start

Shows usage and cost information.
Work well , shows usage in electricity units and money/cost as well.

Works well
A good product, great for checking electricity running costs for my many gadgets. On the negative side, every time I am using it for a different appliance the cost per kilowatt hour has to be reprogrammed, it would be more convenient to be able to clear the data but keep the cost constant. However this is a minor irritation and on the whole I am pleased with the items

Useful and easy to read screen
Good performance. You do have to leave in plug socket for an hour for it to work out kWh rather than it averaging percentage, but works perfect for what it is used for.
