I was looking forward to being able to quickly block out my personal information on junk mail and certain other documents.Disappointments: 1) The ink is so heavy that it gets all over the place if it is touched or rubs up against something. I didn't expect that to be so much of a problem. The ink is slow to dry and on some paper it remains tacky. I adjusted for that because I did like the convenience.2) However, although it appears to obliterate the text in fact, if viewed from an angle in brighter light such as sunlight through a window, the text can easily be read!Now, I am a plain old person with not much to hide, so it is not critical for me if someone views my personal information - however, I do care enough about my privacy that I had been ripping the cover off catalogs and other documents and shredding them. What a waste of money. The ink in the rollers does not hide your information. I rolled it over a check and you could still see my routing number, account number, and signature through the ink. I rolled over the check a few more times thinking layering the stamp ink would cover everything up. Nope. You could still see all information right through the roller ink. I tried it on several items - same thing. The only thing this seems to cover are items printed with a laser jet... Additionally, when you swipe the roller across a document, the word "CONFIDENTIAL" shows up in giant letters on your document. Anyone snooping in your papers can see that the information you are attempting to cover up is important (and then they can read it because you can still see the info). It's too late to return this, so it's going in the trash. Awful.

The identify theft stamp works exactly as described. I learned from error, only swipe once across. I swiped back & forth which still allowed address to be displayed (my fault). I highly recommend the 21c Identity Theft Proctection Stamp.

Perfect to blank out addresses and other private info on mail and forms. Much faster than shredding, that's for sure. Works very well on most paper, except glossy or embossed paper, because inks cannot cover that kind of material. An excellent product for most common uses, unless you work for the CIA ;-) For best results (and to save ink), roll slower over the paper and apply a little bit if pressure.I did the "bright light" test, with office light shining through the paper. This is awesome! Glad I bought it. Now I don't have to chop up my receipts or my tags on my packages. This is better then a shredder! It made me happy it came with two of them. When they run out I will buy more or at least buy the ink refill if they have it. It rolls really easy and fits my hand well so I can use it. Staying safe with this security stamp is important to me. 21 Century Solutions made the perfect Identity Protection Roller. So far I used it on my bills, Medical Records, Bank Statements, Amazon Boxes and my Credit Card Statements.

Much easier than shredding everything. We had a fire so our shredder has been running overtime getting rid of old papers that should have been tossed long ago. In the meantime new stuff arrives and the shredder is back at the scene of the crime. So bought these after seeing a friend use one. A quick roll of one of these over the top of our name and address field and at most a tear in half to be extra safe and just toss it. You cannot read through this things printing even from the back side. Easy peace of mind.

Still be cautious when using this. It sounded like such a great tool...so much less shredding needed. Nope. In many cases, it made the info I was trying to hide, VERY readable! Even when I rolled over it twice, in different directions. I still use it, but it's a hassle to have to double & triple check every place I use it

I received this items within 2 days and am very satisfied with it!!! When I tried in my private letters and packages I was surprised how well it covered my personal information,And besides covering it showed the word CONFIDENTIAL I loved that ... I’ll keep buying it in the near future and the price is perfect!!!I while ago I got something similar at HSN but it didn’t work as good as this ones and is was more expensive and smaller containers...Thank you Amazon!!!
