LOVE this little saw
Very easy to manipulate for an older woman and cuts straight and true.

Trigger lock doesn't work right on my unit
The thing is constantly cutting off while cutting. By experimentation I found that pressing the trigger lock in too far, the power is disconnected. Same is true of the trigger itself. So controls have to be held at just the right point to keep it running.Ah, but when it IS cutting, the thing is an absolute jewel, so I like it anyway.

Bought twice
Bought this for my son-in-law who has been a tremendous help for my wife and I. He used mine helping out around here and loved it so I bought one for him. This one even had a laser sight to help keep straight. Now he loves his even more. Great saw that is easy to use.

Barely passable
This is one of many almost identical looking saws under generic and/or "lower echelon" brands. It is definitely an amateur/homeowner level tool. Cheaply made. Flimsy. Not at all compact in spite of the small size blade. The tool is 18+" long. Cumbersome and awkward to use in tight places. Which is the only place you would need to use a 4.5" saw.The blade is not parallel to the base plate so you cannot make any kind of precision cuts.None of the major tool brands make a 4.5" corded saw. Only DeWalt makes a 4.5" cordless, definitely a much better saw if you are on that battery platform already. Otherwise this saw might be ok for very occasional use.
