Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My shipment came with a parts/instructions. It included six screws; the bench was in only two parts. I did need help, so I had a neighbor to help me put it together.

Q: A number of buyers have reported rust showing up soon after purchase. Is there an issue or are these isolated problems?

What I’ve seen after 2 days of having this bench is like a rusty water! I just wipe it down with a rag! I freakin love this bench! If rust gets to be a problem, I’ll spray paint it and spray a clear coat as well! The bench is too good to be passed by!
