Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Aphrodite Bitters 100ml

If you're looking for something amazing without sugar or much alcohol, Aphrodite are the best. I've been using them for years. I mix them with Pellegrino and it is the perfect summer drink! I discovered a similar concoction in 2018 on The Amalfi Coast. They sell a premixed bottle at a bar. I was finally able to order something other than water.

My order arrived quickly and very well wrapped. These smell incredible on their own, and mixed even with just tonic water make an excellent and refreshing drink. The smell, and taste, is herbal and citrus. I've been adding a dash to Hendricks gin and Fever Tree tonic and the result is an added layer of flavor complexity to an already good cocktail. I'd certainly recommend these bitters to anyone looking to add to their collection. One word of caution on the bottle, at least the one i received: when you turn it up to shake a few drops the "spout" will hold the liquid in. As soon as you move the bottle to shake it, the bitters start streaming out. It's easy to put in too much if you're not ready for it.

I bought this as an alternative to the Angostura Bitters I typically use in my cocktails. Boker's has decent flavor, but a little more anise than I prefer and fairly bitter, medicinal flavor (quinine?). Maybe I just need to find the "right" cocktail to make it shine, but for a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned, I still prefer Angostura.

I've only tried these bitters in one cocktail so far and it was delicious. Bottle arrived as expected well wrapped in bubble wrap for protection. Great job, will try other bitters sold by this company.

It's like archaeology, really, the resurrection of something long dead into our world. Or maybe that's witchcraft, not sure, I get my magics and my sciences mixed up all the time, but Boker's Bitters have been away so long that I had only read about them in books and stuff, referenced in recipes that often had depressing footnotes like "you can't get these bitters anymore and I would offer a substitute but there is one." BUT HEY, here they are! This Adam fella' done brought 'em back from the dead and they're not too shabby. These things are a great addition to your bitters collection if for no other reason than to brag and act smug when some poor fool says "you can't get Boker's Bitters anymore" and you're all like "oh REALLY?"

Similar to Fee Brothers POld Fashioned Bitters and Angostura Bitters, they work well in a Manhattan

Just had mine delivered this morning it was really well packed and have just tried in a glass of lemonade that I was drinking delicious flavours look forward to using in cocktails

Lovely interesting bitters with a twist. Bottle with nice pouring system is great. Makes a different but lovely Old Fashioned. Give it a try.
