UPDATE: Since writing this review I have been in contact with Septekon regarding the video stream dropping out every few days. Their responce has been excellent and they have made some suggestions to improve it which has reduced the frequency and they inform me that they are actively working on a firmware upgrade to permanently cure the problem. Their customer service has been excellent.If you want a cheap simple camera to work from an app this is suitable, If you need a more complex setup this camera has some limitations as described below.I run 6 ip cameras covering my property all displayed locally using ispy with remote access to them all using IPCamViwer on my iphone. When one camera failed I replaced it with the Septekon P30i camera.The camera set up easily using the app on my iphone. There is no other way to set it up as there is no web access as is available on all my other cameras (various makes). The set up options are also very limited, e.g. you can not set a fixed ip address (if you need a fixed ip address as I do then you need to allocate the address at the router), there is no picture adjustments apart from rotate, you cannot remove the time/date display off the image. The app does show the two available rtsp URL's (HD and SD) which allowed me to easily connect the camera to ispy and IPCamViewer.The camera is wifi only (no ethernet connector), and only has a 5V connection power lead (the camera comes with a power adaptor and long lead). The picture is acceptable with the night vision better than my older cameras. The app works well on my iphone and sends me a notification if it views a person in my set window which would then allow me to go to the app to see who is there, however, there is a time delay of up to 30seconds which means that by the time the notification arrives the person has usually moved from my view. The image rotates with my iphone and can expand for a better view but on my android phone it does not rotate making it more difficult to view the image in permanent portrait mode.The good bits are therefore: Price, picture quality, simplicity, wifi connection is goodCons: In the week I have been using it the RTSP stream has locked out a few times even though the app image kept working and said the wifi connection was good. The only way to get a connection again is reboot the camera from the app or at its power supply.If I connect to the camera using IPCamViwer on my phone it stops the image on ispy, ie I can only connect one device to the stream at once.

Good quality camera, easy set up and good value for money - the camera is easy to set up, works as it should do and has been a very useful addition to the home. Visuals are good both day and night and overall is good value for money. Would recommend

Set up was fairly straightforward, although instructions could be better. Good picture and coverage. Alerts are very sensitive to weather, even when adjusted to low they are triggered by rain. Person identification is average in daylight, poor in darkness.Biggest issue is recording. When saving to sd card recordings are short, with no ability to adjust them. Worse though, is that you can only view Sd card recordings for 2 days, 7 if you subscribe to an online ‘protection plan’. After this they show as a still in the alert system but not playable. It is possible, and very easy, to download video alerts during the 2 day window. ******After contacting customer service this issue has been resolved to some extent. By viewing the timeline/replay section of the device screen you can view all recordings on the Sd card. This also shows longer recording than the alert screen. Not all rosey though, as the app often fails to allow access to this section. Customer service advise ensuring camera and viewing device is on the same network, clearly not possible if viewing remotely. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app numerous times, this generally fixes the issue for a while.There is a significant delay between an alert event and notification being sent, so not possible to use as a way of communicating with someone, for instance a courier making a delivery.Overall, fair, good price, but not perfect.

Nothing for under £30 this little camera and the Ap that controls it is simply unbeatable.Excellent features that work exactly as they should do, an accompanying App that’s fast and easy to navigate.All in all these is unbelievable quality and value for under £30.Daytime footage is clear, sharp and colourful, night vision is way better than it has any right be for this money. You can zoom is, listen via the microphone and even speak from the camera like a PA system or even set off an alarm.Motion detect works well and the application send me a notification quickly if a person is detected anywhere within the frame.Whether you just need a cheap camera thats easy to set up and use this is your camera. They beauty here though is you have the option to add cameras and create yourself a full home security system that you can easily monitor and operate from your mobile phone.Fantastic stuff!

The media could not be loaded.  This little security camera is fantastic. If you know what you’re doing. I didn’t but my Daughter and Sone -in-law helped me . Then it was so easy. Just pair to your mobile and add devise to your wifi. Fix it up outside close to house for wifi pick up. And away you go. We are so pleased with it . Videos and pics very clear even at night with infra red .We had some laughs at vids of us in and out of the house. And two blackbirds 🐦‍⬛ that love performing every morning for the camera and around 7pm .Would recommend to friends and family hood quality and value .

Doesn't give you full video without membership

Better that the other camera’s I bought so far it never failed me and really is good for outdoor. Had snow storm and rain and it still works perfectly!
