Although it might seem like a bit of overkill for my Panasonic LUMIX FZ80, when using its maximum focal length of 1200 mm, a steady tripod is necessary. The MACTREM 70 inch Portable Horizontal Tripod meets that requirement, easily.The head, though not a professional grade fluid head, enables me to do videos, even using the higher focal lengths. Horizontal panning is quite smooth, with the vertical being ever so slightly less smooth. I suspect that this will improve as I grow accustomed to it.The horizontal tripod feature was the icing on the cake. I like to do nature photography, and this is just perfect for photographing garden flowers and other things from an overhead view.The appearance and finish of this tripod are quite good. The carrying case seems to be of good quality, though a bit more snug than I expected. Still, it wasn't rocket science to get the tripod back in the case. If I encounter any problems, I'll update this review, but from what I've seen so far, I don't think I'll need to.

The reviews are for a different product than "MACTREM 70 inch Camera Tripod, Aluminum Alloy" which is what this listing currently sells. The images imply that you can do a "360 panoramic rotation" but that is flatly untrue. The center column does not rotate; it is fixed in its position. This means you cannot do ANY rotation, let alone 360 panoramic ones. False advertising.

I needed a smaller more light weight tripod for my cameras. This fit the bill perfectly.
