Was 1/2" too big for 2001 Saturn SC2--had to shorten it and use liquid gasket
I fit this onto my 2001 Saturn SC2 and had about 1/2" of extra. Since I could not return this item due to it not being returnable after the package was opened, I simply snipped off 1/2" of the gasket and filled in any gaps with liquid gasket. Very disappointed, yet again, that Amazon claimed that it was a fit, yet it wasn't.On a good note, I've checked it for leaks and, after two weeks of consistent use, there are none to be found.

perfect fit
I just put this on my '02 SL2, fit perfect and works great. The rubber felt brand new, not at all crusty or rigid. Word to the wise, if replacing this gasket make sure you have some RTV on hand to shore up the seam between timing chain cover and the valve head. The last person who installed this seal on the SL2 didn't do that (even though its explicitly required per the manual) and fouled up the old seal. If you're planning on tearing down the cover itself (which i did) you will need RTV to re-seal the metal vent channels as well.

Be prepared to send it back and have a plan b
Absolutely horrible. The gasket didn't fit - it was too big to fit the cover. That was extremely annoying considering I had the car torn apart. To make matters worse, I attempted to get one from a local auto parts store. That one was too big, too, and I had to return it. The second store I went to didn't have one in stock. The third store had one - same brand and item number - and it fit perfectly. There must have been some bad batches of these produced. If that's the case, Felpro really needs to recall the bad batches to save people the same frustration I had to go through.

Fit perfectly on a 2001 Saturn SL2. Don’t stretch the gasket and it will fit nicely.

Works great. Leaky valve cover turned into a bone dry ...
Works great. Leaky valve cover turned into a bone dry one in as little as an hour or two (most of the time spent cleaning off old gasket and valve cover). Don't forget to get some Permatex to use in the two casting locations!

Fixed my oil leak
Seems to work well once I actually got it in the valve cover. At first I thought it was too big, but after trying to install it in the valve cover a second time I was able to get it to fit. It seems the trick is not stretch it too much as you are pushing it into the groove in the cover.
