it does the job.
this thing blows. it looks cheap and its built cheap because it is cheap but it works. for how long it will work is another question. moves plenty of air for my forge and the fan doesn't rub.

I believe for the price point this is a good piece it does everthing it is advertised to do
I believe for the price point this is a good piece it does everthing it is advertised to do.That being said i have a few suggestions...The crank handle could be more robust in designAn optional hose attachment would be amazing as i use this for blacksmithing. And lastly but assuradly the most important you need a redesign on the neck where the nozzle attaches it should have a locking mechanism.

good customer service for a good product
so i picked up one of these blowers and it didn't work right. i had said something about it and i was contacted about it. after explaining what was wrong it sounds like i just got unlucky with the one i got, which happens with any product. a new blower was sent to me and it works fantastically and the customer service couldn't have been nicer and more helpful about fixing the problem. i would fully recommend the blower for anyone who is into blacksmithing.

No instructions, Paint flakes
The Amazon add shows to add grease, but the item came with no instructions whatsoever! Cranking it sounded like the gears were dry, so it seems adding grease is a must. Also, it seems like the manufacturer didn't thoroughly clean the housing before they painted it as it came with blistered paint in some spots that immediately flaked off while handling it.Lastly, the outlet that accepts the pipe was bent out at the seam. This was an easy fix though with a pair of pliers since the metal housing is pretty thin.Overall, the unit seems to work well.

Nope
This item arrived with paint scratched off in several places, the base, the side, the hand crank handles are beat up and appear used, there’s black marks and some pits on and in the plastic handles as well, the place where you screw the handles to the blower looks like it’s been stripped by someone being too aggressive with it when they used it, and there are tiny shavings of metal on one of the handles from what I would assume was the process of turning the cranks. Seriously, I am pretty ticked, I don’t even know if it works because there are no instructions and I am afraid to test it, and something rattles inside when you gently move it from side to side. This was supposed to be a gift for my hubby for Father’s Day. I live in a rural area where at times you have to pay to return items even though we have Amazon Prime, because even though we have a UPS here, it is NOT considered a UPS store so when you go and say I arranged a return, you’re supposed to print the return label for me here, they look at you like you’re a nut and say, “Uh we don’t do that here”, and then you have to return it on your own dime through USPS or just keep the item you need to return which means eating the cost and buy another one to replace it. For what this cost and the reputation of Whitlox, I did not expect this quality. So now I either give this to my husband looking like a used piece of crap, or start the return process and end up paying to return a heavy item. Super disappointed. I ordered a forge and stand from them too, hope those are not like this. Still may return, dk what to do.

awesome product! !
I was kinda hesitate to purchase this blower because of some of the ratings. After receiving my blower in only three days after purchasing it I put it to work on my coal forge, this thing works great no problems at all. All I can think about some of the negative reviews is they must have misused or abused it? Don't go dropping on the floor or hitting it with a hammer and I'm sure you'll be just fine.

M6 Metric Zerc fitting
Works adequately on the Whitlox Mini-Forge. Get a Simpson Strong-Tie5-3/4 in. x 7 in. Tie Plate, a 2" dia. hose clamp, and 2 1/4"-20 nuts and 3/4" bolts from H.D. to mount it on the Whitlox blower bracket, duct and hardware kit. You need to drill 3 1/4" holes in the mounting plate and wrap some aluminum foil tape on both ends of the larger of the 2 tubes included with this product. The blower bracket, duct and hardware kit from Whitlox includes the flexible duct to make the connection. I added a metric M6 Zerc fitting to inject lithium grease into the gear housing. 4 squirts make it quieter and has a less hollow sound. I have no idea if it even reached the bearings.
