Fits 2014 ford escape
Bought for 2014 ford escape. Perfect fit. Same exact size as original factory filter. Its pretty easy to replace yourself. You gotta bend it a little funny to get the old out and also bend it a little funny to get the new back in. I had to squeeze mine in from both sides and basically make it into the shape of an hourglass and then awkwardly maneuvered it in. Kinda hard to explain. But once you go to actually doing it you pretty much figure it out. The screw won't really hard for me to access. I just pulled the carpet down a bit to make it easier to access. I did have to take a few mins to get the plate cover on the filter to line back up correctly. It kind of has a groove on the top its gotta go back into. So keep that in mind. And I'm a 28 year old woman and did this on my own with no help. So if I can do it anyone can. Don't pay a shop to change this . you will waste money. Only takes like 15 mins to do it . give or take.

Replace regularly
I order and replace this filter once a year in my 2016 Focus as part of the general maintenance schedule. Over the course of the year it'll go from white to grayish black...really sort of an alarming indicator of what we're breathing in on the daily. Catches larger particulates like dust too. On the Focus it's not a super easy installation as it's located way up under the passenger footwell area. And requires a T15 driver (if I recall correctly) to remove the one screw that holds the lid down. Then pop in the two plastic tabs on the lid, remove the lid, and fight with the old filter for a few seconds to get it out. The new one will go in with about the same amount of struggle. Just be sure the arrow indicating airflow is pointing the right direction. Overall, for a just once a year filter, and OEM, it's a reasonable price and quality.

Helps the air conditioning cycle air faster
I replaced these every year since the filter has already turned a blackish grey in just a short amount of time. Afterwards I can tell the car smells better and the air conditioning works faster at cycling the air throughout the car. Initially I watched a YouTube video to find out how to change the filter and expect the first time to take some extra time but now itโs something I can do in like five minutes making for a easy installation for anyone who can bend down to get under the passenger glovebox. The parts are OEM so they are the same quality and size that was originally installed. They also are pretty durable as long as you know watch a video you shouldnโt have much risk of damaging it.

OEM Cabin Filter
Just received this yesterday! Came in OEM ford packaging. Open receiving this I went out and got my old cabin air filter out and compared the look of the two! Both are the same and felt the same quality. The new one had a good smell out of the box and good value for the money! Would recommend.

Got rid of my car's "dog smell"
When I started to smell the dog of the previous owner of my 2013 Ford Focus ST through the HVAC system, I knew it was time to change the filter. After only 16,000 miles, my original filter was heinously filthy. In the future, I'll probably be inclined to change the filter every 10,000 miles or so. This is the OEM filter installed by the factory. Installation isn't hard or complicated, it's just awkward. Installation Instructions: In the passenger footwell, under the glove box, locate the fiber/fabric cover for the fuse panel. Look for the light that illuminates the footwell - it surrounds that. Squeeze the two black plastic retainer clips and pull them straight off. Gently remove the cover. All the way towards the left front of the passenger footwell, you'll see a rectangular cover door for the filter. It's held in by two tension clips (squeeze to release), and one Torx 15 screw at the bottom. Remove the screw and squeeze the clips to remove the cover door. Slowly and carefully pull out the filter, taking note of the orientation. You'll need to bend it a bit. A ton of leaves and stuff fell out when I took out the filter. It wouldn't be a bad idea to vacuum it out while it's open. Replace the filter in the orientation you observed from the previous filter. You will need to bend/squish it, likely quite a bit. Just line up the top and the bottom of the filter with the opening and work it in from there. It bounces right back from being deformed. There's no trick, just be patient and gentle. Note: I unfastened the fuse block in the passenger footwell to make extra wiggle room. It added very little room to do so and was a colossal pain to get the fuse block reattached properly. I wouldn't recommend it. Reverse the disassembly steps, and enjoy fresher air in your car. The dog smell is gone!!! And after seeing what was on the old filter, I'm very very glad I replaced it.

Replaced my cabin air filter (2016 focus w/ 37,000 miles)
- Direct OEM replacement for the 2016 ford focus cabin air filter (I would assume 2012-2018 as well), my car has 37,000 miles, and wow was I surprised at how dirty the old filter was. - Installing the cabin air filter was easy. Just removed the front carpet piece near the passenger fuse box, then the cabin air filter door, and wella, after some haggling it comes out, and bolt stuff back on. Do not be afraid to squeeze, twist, and haggle the air filter, they're meant to flex. However, it was tight. - Make sure to clean the inside of the cabin air filter housing, might as well once it's open. - Always stick to OEM filters as aftermarket ones may cause improper fit, filtering, and can restrict airflow, which may lessen your mpg and heating/cooling efficiency. - It might be a placebo but I swear my car is blowing hotter heat when I replaced this. - My old filter was black, filled with plant material, bugs, dirt, dust, etc. - Replaced because when I buy used cars I just do a bunch of little maintenance to reduce my risk and I know people don't take care of their cars. Ford recommends replacing this filter every 20K, which most don't replace them at all.

Ford part that fits 2014 Ford Escape
After reading about how dirty these things get I decided to purchase a new one. Went on youtube to figure out how to remove and it was a little tough given the space available to maneuver. Took the old one out which was pretty much black, then installed the new one. Pros: - Ford part - No concerns about after market quality Cons: - None
