Echogear is as promoted - effective with its rotation of sockets to fit various devices.
This Echogear Surge protected power strip is one of a few that allows for the plug sockets to move so that they are not all lined up on the same plane. This makes for a far better change of getting all the device items plugged in that have odd shaped plug/transformers/powersupply. The unit is narrow and while it will seems nice and compact, the ideal is to have either a bit more girth or separations between each socket to allow the truly odd shaped over sized plugs to fit in. Overall, given the joules (respectable), design, quality of build, this is a nice handy item that I'll most likely get one again for another set of plugs elsewhere. This looks interesting but for those simply interested in function - it again fits the bill reasonably well.Who would have thought that something as mundane as a surge protector strip could have that 'geek gadget' appeal. I liked the idea of rotating sockets that is a logical means to utilizing all the sockets provided and requiring a minimal amount of space. Similar units have each rotating socket butt up against each other while the Echo unit leaves a slight space between which makes handling the plugs and such much easier. A thoughtful and functional design. In use - As I need to keep as much cables off the floor and such, this item came in handy as it fits nicely near the wall and behind my monitor. I have multiple devices with odd shaped plugs ranging from wireless phone charger, external hard drives, media streamer, laptop computer, and then the regular plugs for monitor and external disc burner. This translates to 5-6 odd shaped plugs at any given time and the remaining are standard with one socket available on stand by for part time usage. What should be noted is while all fit fine, I had to make some decision on where to put each item so that the the collection sits somewhat balanced. Figuring it out only took a matter of seconds and I suggest others who opt for this device do the same. Along with ease of putting in all the plugs, there is a limited attempt by Echo to provide built in cable management clips. In my case it came in handy for 3 of the cables as they were flexible enough to loop and collect (the clips are at the far end of the Echo). I could still be happy if no collection was provided but I would image others would find it extremely useful. Overall, the unit is fairly lightweight but still when handling gives a sense of confidence as being made well enough to get the job done and for such a (again mundane) device, aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend this to a friend and have my eye on one of Echogear's other offerings. For the price and functionality as well as tight build, I give all the stars. This device does exactly what it says and has that little extra - cool factor.

Looks and works great!
Finally I've found a surge protector that meets my needs. As a designer, I'm always looking for ways to hide the cords while keeping things functional. For this project, this is the best power strip I could find that would allow me to rotate the outlet to hide ugly plugs/cords behind a credenza, while keeping other outlets accessible for daily use. I chose black for a dark planked wall, and mounted it with screws. It looks quite nice, is sturdy, and now allows much needed functionality in a space where there was only one outlet. The 8 foot cord is perfect for me to have the outlet on the other side of the credenza opposite the receptacle outlet. The only feature i wish it had is a rotating plug for the wall. For me this would have been nice because I have a Snappower usb faceplate on my horizontally installed receptacle, and this plug has to be inserted in the top outlet which covers the bottom one. Because i need to use both outlets, I ended up using a 1-ft extension cord with a flat angled plug to clear up space for a second plug. I've included pics so you can see what the hell I'm talking about. But this won't be an issue for most people.

Probably my favorite surge protector. Well formed, good length cord, lots of outlets that rotate to fit many plugs. Perfect for my mobile laptop cart, fits all the other peripherals I need to wheel around with. With an extension cord, I can basically work from anywhere in any room.

Excellent outlet.
Awesome item ! I place mine on the wall behind the coffee buffet .

Two levels of surge protection. Can be wall mounted.
Very efficient way of managing access to outlets, particularly if some of your devices have their own space-hogging power adapters at the end of the cord. The power strip itself is somewhat larger and bulkier than expected, but still a nice solution.

Very functional
I bought four of these surge protectors and gave one to my son. I am currently using one of these protectors and I have found that it meets my needs perfectly. Presently, I have an electric pencil sharpener, one floor lamp, one desk lamp one radio and a nebulizer plugged in to the protedtor. Because I was able to rotate the various outlets, I had no trouble connecting all these lamps and appliances to the surge protector. Also, because of the ability to rotate the outlets, I was able to have the protector sit flat on a desk top which makes it much more handy for me than if I had to set the protector on the floor under the desk. I have had no weather conditions or other types of conditions that would cause an electrical surge, so I cannot speak to this function of the protector. However, I am quite pleased with the usefulness of the rotating, multi-outlet function of this surge protector. My son also reports that he is very pleased with the protector I gave him. I will be using the other two surge protectors on my model raillroad so all the protectors will get used.
