I love my katana amp, but was frustrated by its incompatibility with the GFA pedal supported by the higher end models. This pedal is the perfect solution plugging into the amp’s USB port. It provides all the functionality to control the amp settings or switch the stored patches through the pedal. Can be used with an expression pedal plugged into the amp’s foot pedal input to control volume or provide wah effects. I purchased the katana librarian app for my iPad to load patches which works great with the pedal. This is a terrific product.

Lo uso con mi BOSS katana 50 y va de maravilla. Me costó entenderlo en principio, pero se hizo bastante intuitivo con el tiempo. Excelente para presentaciones en vivo.Si usas un BOSS katana 50, ten presente que tendrás que usar pedales externos por linea directa y se mezclaran con los efectos del amplificador obteniendo un sonido no tan bueno... Pero configurando bien, bastará con los efectos integrados del amplificador para un hueso.

I purchased this back in January and initially it worked great. Offered more versatility than the GA-FC since you can switch between different effects on a given bank in addition to just turning them on and off. Additionally, it's a cheaper option and more space efficient.About a month ago, however, it stopped working. The pedal came on but would not control my Katana. It never left my house and was always in a climate controlled environment. I contacted customer service via email and after trouble shooting we came to the conclusion that the USB-C port on the pedal was broken. The rep asked for my original order number and address and within a few days I received a brand new pedal.Now, this process took a couple weeks to complete. I'm on the east coast of the US and, wherever their customer support is, they were replying to me between midnight and 2 am my time. This meant every step of the process required a day to complete. Every question asked, every "try this now." This isn't a knock on Xsonic, just an FYI to anyone who might run into an issue. Be patient and work with them and they'll take care of you.
