Great Device After Balancing Network
This product worked very well controlling my Z-Wave lighting. I did have some issues getting it to work reliably.Logitech claimed that my Leviton z-wave lighting was not compatible with this device when I called them about connection problems. This seemed odd because it worked with my Harmony 890. I found after many attempts it would work.My devices initially would only work intermittently. I called Logitech for help and their solution of reloading the configuration in all of the remote devices did not work. I later noticed on my iPhone app a feature called balance network under z-wave utilities. I selected this and now everything has been stable.I could find no information on the balance z-wave network feature, but it was the solution to my unstable network. It is a shame Logitech does not recommend this feature on their website or phone support.I highly recommend this product, but Logitech support for this product is very poor.

Works well once setup, but the pain is in the setup
I wanted to be able to incorporate the Harmony Hub Extender with Harmony Elite remote into my existing Z-wave network, to control lighting. It was easy enough to pair it with the Hub and download new firmware to it.However, there was quite of bit of trial & error to get it paired with my Qolysys Z-wave panel. Many times it would not pair properly. And the Extender & Hub kept going offline, making it hard to do anything. So I read some advice online and did the following: (1) do a reset to factory defaults for both the Harmony Hub & Extender, (2) swap the power adapter for a fast charger, giving the unit a more robust power supply, (3) made sure Hub was connected on the 2.4 GHz side of my Asus Wi-Fi Lyra mesh system, (4) assigned a static IP address to the Hub, (5) added & removed the Extender several times from the panel and (6) not try to make the Extender a secondary controller of the Z-wave network.Eventually using the mobile Harmony app, the Extender started recognizing all of my devices. I can now reliably control lighting & the thermostat from the remote. It complements the control I have from the panel & the Alarm.com app.Was it worth the effort? Probably not. But got the Harmony Elite, Hub & Extender as refurbished units for half the price of new, so that dampens the frustration some.

Moody device
Works while it works. Had to restart it twice in less than two months because it didn't work. After the restart it works again, ne repair or anything. Not helping to build my smart home case with my wife, she isn't happy with it. Also there are devices which it doesn't control but worked fine when o connected it to another hub.

AND every time I open the harmony app it acts like it is seeing the home extender for the first ...
This is supposed to work with schlage BE469 zwave lock with versions after 6.0. My lock purchased yesterday from Lowes is version 8.0 but it will not connect. AND every time I open the harmony app it acts like it is seeing the home extender for the first time. It flat out does not do what it is supposed to do. I even moved it to an outlet 3 feet from the door lock and ensured it is fill wifi signal strength. Nothing. I called harmony and they are not able to help SO unfortunately this product will be returned.

Weak power connection and compatibility list of Zwave manufactures
The features this adds to your Harmony Ultimate is totally worth it. However, they have to do something with weak usb power connection. I'm on my third one because it will develop a loose connection if reconnected or moved around too much. They also need to expand their compatibility with more zwave / ZigBee manufactures.
