Lonely Planet Istanbul (Travel Guide)

Great guide with current information. Even the entry fees were a curate, took a little bit of focusing and understanding of the city's different areas to use the book. I plan to submit recommendation on some eateries and second home hostel and about all the Labradors and other digs sadly living on the streets and how vendors feed and fill water bowls for them and all the cats

This was great to have in Istanbul (and I have the Kindle version, so it was lightweight to carry around). It had a lot of good restaurant and neighborhood recommendations. We used it quite a bit and felt it gave us lots of good info!

Used to plan an extended stay in Istanbul. Pretty good. Would like them to add alternative names to places to avoid confusion. Lonely Planet does not publish a comprehensive map of the city which is very important even if it people buy it separately. However, the maps in the back of the book do help. Bought one needed from another company.

This has been an excellent source for planning, but it won't be out to the test until we arrive in September!

Lot of good info

Great book for exploring Istanbul.

I loved the information provided in the book and all the places to visit. I did find other places that wasn't big tourist attractions that weren't mentioned and were just as interesting. I also liked a listing of restaurants. I tried some which was very good.
