Who designed this? it's awful!! (read detailed review) This gate is more like a suggestion.
I can't believe this was put into production. It was surprisingly difficult to assemble. The tubes were all labeled (tube-A to tube-B) but you needed brute strength to get the last couple of pieces together. Also, having the pushpin-style adjustments within the covered/padded sleeve is a stupid design. It's flimsy despite all the metal tubes. It is warpy and weird to get into place, yet it's unnecessarily heavy, too. I planned on using it as a travel gate. There is WAY too much hardware for this to be realistically portable. It felt like assembling one wall of those pop-up baby cribs.• If you have a ditzy golden retriever or a dog that won't push through a door that's ajar, you might be fine.• If you have a chewer, good luck. It's mesh-screening, so kiss this thing goodbye.• It's short, so it's possible your pet (especially cats) can jump over this. Luckily, my dogs are short and can't jump.• Even with the original hardware, a large enough dog that puts its paws up on it could easily plow through this or knock it out of the doorway.I ended up getting a pair of tension rods to put it in the doorway. it's more of a suggestion to obedient pets, than an actual gate, but it stays put. Now I can roll it up and it weights very little...and so far it works to keep my pets out of the way.

porch door gate
I had a possum trying to come through the porch door when I was leaving the door ajar for my purr baby. So, I wanted something that would deter the possum but would still let her come in. Seems to work. The only thing is when you adjust the gate to fit in the door, the screen gets a little crumpled too, so the cat door also doesn't work as well. I found it easier to keep the gate at the maximum level and just lean the gate against the door opening. Every once in a while though the gate falls over. One of the top poles keeps warping on itself like a cookie sheet that randomly pops up.

OK, not great...
It's sturdy, but the the sliding notch-clicks are COVERED by the cloth and hard to adjust. The assembly directions are easy to understand, but physically placing the parts together is a challenge...need another person to help hold parts as you assemble. Love the zip door!
