Focus
It was my experience that the book focused on the caregiver's need for control. While most caregivers that I know do not act like or believe their role is control, nor is control what they want. I wanted to understand how I could help my spouse while also taking care of my emotional needs. The book did not provide that for me.

Self-Care for Caregivers: A Twelve Step Approach
This book was/is spot on for me--relevant and comforting to be able to identify with others who are either there or are walking thIs path. I'm already working The Twelve Step Program so I am especially grateful for her wisdom and insight. Self-Care for Caregivers: A Twelve Step Approach is a "must read" and caregiver's spiritual guide to healthy living.

My sister was caring for her husband who was dying of cancer and she found this book to be very helpful and the type of support she needed to do what she had to do. She highly recommends this book for anyone dealing with caring for a spouse or family member!

Enlightening Book
This book has changed my life for the better. The Twelve Step Program really works if you can be honest with yourself. Good Luck I hope you get same experience.

This had some good points for the Caregiver
This had some good points for the Caregiver. I was able to learn a few things and apply a few ideas. I really didn't know what to expect, but glad I bought it.

Five Stars
Very valuable book. Most who give help to others rarely know how to care for themselves! Practical. Helpful.

NOt what I needed.
Did not meet my NEEDS. I did not find it useful in my circumstances. Maybe some people would find it helpful.
