Single flame is reliable!
I like to toast the foot of my cigars and sometimes lighters can be a bit too punchy and give me an uneven burn. This lighter is easy to use with a nice grip and texture. Lights on the first strike almost always and has a no tools needed flame adjustment. Strong recommendation!!!

S.T. DuPont Defi single torch lighters are quite good in performance and value
I’ve seen some negative reviews and I don’t doubt their veracity. However I own 2, have owned another 2 and given 2 as gifts to cigar buddies. Not a bad one in that 1/2 dozen sample size. It is important to only use the DuPont (red) butane and, yes, after awhile ignition might take a click or, rarely, two times more. However they are damn near indestructible due smart design, fit perfectly in hand for torching almost any size cigar and last longer than anything else I’ve tried. Full disclosure: I smoke 2-3 (full size) sticks/day and live in 4 season part of U.S., so my experience is a stress test of sorts for any lighter. Wheel has never gotten difficult to manipulate flame and refills smoothly. I know some light a cutter or punch to be included with lighters. In response, I’d gingerly recommend, instead, a stainless steel punch with hole through top so you can attach to your house keys’ fob. They’re not that expensive and give a more satisfying way to draw out flavor with much less chance of bruising cap. Only problem I’ve encountered is that the opening ‘flange’ on one of mine got partially melted after 4 years. It’s there to keep debris out. That one is now an in-house only lighter after I scrapped away the rest of the opening aperture with an exacto knife. And, lastly, there used to be a snazzy orange model, but not available now. I have no experience with newer dual flame Extreme model because my Defi’s have been too solid to necessitate trying the out.

This lighter is terrible!
Too many clicks to light and won’t relight when hot! Too expensive for these basic problems. Sending back.
