Super convenient
I’ve been using the product for a few weeks now, and my clothes are clean but with much less scent than I’m used to in other detergents. I think in the long run that’s probably a good thing and that I will get used to it, but it made me question how clean the clothes really were. Then I did a load of my husband’s muddy work clothes. Sold me.

They do work!! Go science!
I waited awhile to write this review because I wanted to test them out first. The upshot? I love these and they DO work! Go science!I bought these mainly because I love gadgets and I found the idea fascinating, but I half expected them not to work. Our family also has some allergies to certain types of detergents (and we normally make our own to get around that), so if they worked, that would be an added benefit. The first time, I tried them out on some towels. They towels emerged from the dryer (we used the wool balls, too, but I'd already been using those--they work really well too), they smelled clean and like nothing. Win! I understand that some folks want their clean clothes to smell like a scent, and I get that, but I'll take "clean" over mildewy any day. Our clothes don't need to be scented to be clean. After that, I tried a load of regular clothes and they came out clean, too. I next did some sheets and then more towels--all clean! Then, I tried my husband's sweaty, reallllly stinky workout clothes. This would be the true test. Those clothes were ripe and I have a time getting those clean anyway, without a ton of oxyclean. Again, they came out perfectly clean. When I did these loads, I sprayed any stains with stain remover spray first and in between uses, I put them on the windowsill in the laundry room where the sun can get at them, so I haven't experienced any mildew scent problems. They smell just fine. So, the balls work. I admit that I'm wary of using them with my nicer workout and delicate things (i.e.: Lululemon), so I still use detergent for some things, but over all, these balls work great and I'm so happy I bought them!UPDATE: I just used them to wash my cloth menstrual pads, which is probably the biggest test of all. They came out perfectly clean and fresh. Truly amazing. You have to buy these!

This is definitely a good alternative if you want to start reducing the use ...
This is definitely a good alternative if you want to start reducing the use of laundry detergent. I have noticed that the first few tries it did clean my laundry pretty well but there were times where it didn't and I'm not sure if it's because I didn't charge the balls enough because they do require sunlight to be recharged. I'll have to attempt these again after I fully charge them in the Sun and see if it makes a difference.

Very impressive!
Arrived on time, good package. I was sceptical about these balls. But they work!! and do a fantastic job! I have tried with clothes, beds sheets, towels, kitchen towels and even very sweaty and smelly gym clothes from my sons! Every thing comes out from the laundry perfectly clean ! My clothes get clean with zero chemicals and is cleaner than ever. Thanks! I truly recommend these balls. Try ! Just follow the instruction: Before using them for first time, soak them in water for 30 minutes. And put them to the sun ( a sun bath) once every month. Doing this, they will last years!

I really like the eco friendliness idea of these balls
I really like the eco friendliness idea of these balls. I did load and couldn't tell it if worked or not. I decided to pile up my workout clothes from a few days and see if using only the balls, no detergent, would take out the sweaty smell. It didn't work. I washed the clothes again with the balls and Oxy Clean powder in the basin. That worked. I am continuing to use them but just know I believe detergent is necessary.

Seems to work, easy to use.
After reading a review on "the" expensive brand of washing ball, I noticed that apparently the technology is not different from brand to brand (only the large holding ball itself- the pellets inside are all the same), and I decided to try out this one, as it was much cheaper and highly reviewed. After using it a week, I can say that I don't notice any lingering odors on any clothes, the ball hasn't damaged any of my clothing (and I have 4 kids 6 and under!!), and I'm not even noticing any mildew smell on my kids washcloths, which I was about to throw away.If this continues to work, it will be a great money saver. It suggests putting the balls in sunlight once a week to keep them working, though I don't see how the pellets can get much light to them, and also can't see how to open the ball. Still, it seems to be working, and I'll continue to follow the package directions.I still use a dryer sheet in my dryer, as I like the scented smell.

Seem to be doing the job
These laundry balls do what they say they will. I'm just wondering how one knows when to replace them? I suspect the material inside, which rattles, will just get less and less, so if it stops making noise when it is shaken, it will be time to replace. You can add fabric softener or other added cleaning aids just as you would with normal laundry detergent. The only thing you have to do is make sure they sit in water for 30 minutes before using them. I find when doing several loads of laundry one after the other, they don't need to have the 30 minute soak time after the initial soak has been done. The instructions say to clean them of any lint should some accumulate, but thus far I have not had any lint attach itself to these balls.

It’s the best purchase you’ll make in 2018!
These laundry balls are amazing! I’ve been using them since August and I have not bought detergent since then. The first thing I did was use them on some towels that had soured for at least a week, after being left in the washer overnight then just placed on top of the dryer by my boys while I was on vacation. They made the entire laundry room smell bad. So I tried the balls on those towels first. There was no trace of the smell after washing with the laundry balls just once. If it hadn’t gotten the smell out I knew the towels would have to be trashed. But it worked! I’ve been using the laundry balls since then and they’ve come through wonderfully every time! Get these laundry balls, you won’t be disappointed! I shared how great they are with friends at a dinner party by the way and let them smell towels I had just washed. Several of them went right then and purchased the balls online. Can’t say enough good about them.
