OPENED UP A WHOLE NEW WORLD
My handicapped brother is deaf. A man of few words, he refuses to wear hearing aids. He doesn't like anything inside his ears. But when we got the head phones with microphone, we began to talk. I went slowly because he's not used to being able to hear. Therefore only 10 minutes a day, then 15, etc.I speak in a normal voice. He responds in a normal voice. I marked with red pen the volume he likes. Our conversations now are such a pleasure. This Reizen Mighty Loud Ear has opened up a whole new world for us.

Honest review, these are very poor quality and expensive
This product is something we saw the gray version of in the hospital, they seemed popular but always seemed off. So we bought the twenty dollar more expensive version, and just out then to use. Then we noticed there was not much improvement so we tested them on ourselves. Obviously we should have done that first because their :quality is horrible, for 9$ u get better headphones, they are scratchy sounding and less clear that a voiceThe max volume is not much louder than a normal voice is, if it is louder at allBelow maximum volume is quieter than the voiceWe had not checked the product and have now found by simply using them ourselves that this product is just terrible and distorted and a kind of abuse of people who need them.Unless this is a “defective” product or a “lemon”We are trying our third set of batteries to see if it is just us. But if not we will be returning these.—- updateSo changing the battery did nothing. However pulling the earphone jack out a little about a quarter of the way makes it work. So putting it in fully does nothing. This is a faulty jack

I wasn't too impressed.
I ordered these as a gift, and I think it would have worked better with a different type of head set.

Volume control confusing for elderly
In order to turn the volume up you need to roll the dial down, and to turn it down you have to roll the dial up - which is totally backwards! My dear 82 year old mother has memory issues and constantly rolls the dial in the wrong direction. So she turns it up when she's trying to turn it down, and when you turn it up too high you hear annoying feedback. Otherwise, she can hear better with this gadget than she can with her $3K hearing aids! I'm so glad I bought it for her! Now we can have a conversation without me having to yell (as long as she has the volume up!)!The headphones were too big for her head and couldn't be adjusted any smaller so I bought her a smaller pair that plugged right in and work great with the little box (microphone).

Personal sound ampliier
Fast delivery. The only problem is that there is no tone control. Only a volume control. Tone is rather tinny. But otherwise works well.

Worked well then Died Quickly
Worked very well for my Mom. The headset is key as she is not tolerating ear buds. But the unit died literally at 1 month of use. Would hope that it would last much longer.

Pretty easy to adjust sound
Real good sound quality. Minimal echoing. Blocks out back ground noise. I bought this for my 99yr old dad that can't hear hardly. Easy to adjust volume to perfect sound. Would recommend this for elderly to communicate with

Doesn’t work in stereo?
Stupid, mean and utterly useless product. First if you’re going to make a hearing aid make sure it comes in at equal volume on both sides of the ear phones. I don’t know what this thing is doing but it’s not doing it very well at $75 bucks. First off they provide headphones with a mono plug and ear buds with stereo plug? Which one is it? The head phones are unusable because of distortion that doesn’t happen on any other headphones I own? To boot each ear doesn’t put out equal volume so if one ear is worst than another you have to make sure you use the correct side to worst ear, I’m sure a senior will know to reverse the head set…NOT! This product is junk… look elsewhere, waste of my poor fathers money. Shame on you Reizen, shame!
