SLIDE Easy Clean-Up Litter, Multi-Cat, 28lb

I'm not a big review writer, but this particular product made me decide to start! I've been a cat owner/lover for as long as I can remember. Unlike dogs, cats will clean themselves, generally have great hygiene and don't require constant bathing in order to keep their stink under control. Speaking of stinking, the day that scoopable cat litter came out, I did the happy dance! The old fashioned clay chips did little more than give a cat somewhere to dig a hole and to cover their stuff up with. But scoopable? That was the future! Instead of dumping a whole box of litter into the trash, now it was way easier to just "scoop" out what needed to go. But even the best ordinary scoopable litter has its flaws. I've been using Fresh Step Scoop since it was new. It WAS the best, because it clumped well. But did little to control the odor. Oh and the dust? Whew, so much dust! And believe me, I've bought every variant that Fresh Step made too, including multicat, extreme, fabreze, etc. They all worked identically mediocre. But this Arm & Hammer Multi-Cat Slide is a WHOLE NEW BREAKTHROUGH in cat litter! First of all, it clumps BETTER than anything I've ever tried! How much better? 2X? 5X? 10X? NO!!! INFINITELY BETTER! But who cares about clumping when there are bigger fish to fry?! Not only is this the single best clumping litter on the planet, but I can tell you in no uncertain terms, THERE IS ZERO DUST! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! I'm a once a week scooper. Why? Have you cleaned a cat box before? LOL! I love my cats, but I hate cleaning the cat box! How do I know when to clean the cat box? AH-HA! I WAIT FOR THE SMELL OF URINE! Arm & Hammer have really knocked one out of the park with Slide, because after an entire week, there is NO ODOR! I MEAN ZERO! ZILCH! NADA! Maybe I can go 2 weeks now without scooping?! Just kidding! I'm lazy, but not that lazy! Seriously, I have never seen anything like it. One of my cats always pees in the exact same spot. What that gives me is one GIANT LUMP to scoop out. What used to happen with Fresh Step, is it would break into a zillion little cat pee marbles, make a HUGE STINK and then mix back into the rest of the litter. :( What does Slide do? If I have a huge lump to clean, sure, it's still going to break, but get this.... Somehow Slide actually ELIMINATES THE SMELL. As a matter of fact, what does break, doesn't break into small little marbles, and it's easy to scoop right out! Can you tell how excited I am about this cat litter? BUT WAIT, THERE'S EVEN MORE! Amazon happens to have the BEST PRICE........... AND........ IT IS APPROXIMATELY THE SAME COST AS WHAT I USED TO BUY! WOOHOO! I AM SO HAPPY, I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS MYSELF! (just kidding, I'm expressing myself all over the place right now!) CONS? NONE! IT'S THE BEST EVER! ** BUY IT AND YOUR CATS WILL LOVE YOU MORE! ** (seriously, they will totally love you more!) Note to Arm & Hammer - Just so we're clear, your earlier attempts at making cat litter were not very good. Whoever whipped up this SLIDE Multi-Cat formula DESERVES A RAISE! Wait! 2 RAISES! I never gave your cat litter a second thought, but now I'm a believer. If you ever stop making this litter, I will find you. ;) Thank you for reading and I hope you switch to Slide. It will be one of the best cat related decisions you'll ever make! PS: Shhhh..... Arm & Hammer, you can send me the 500 boxes you promised me to the address on file! ;) SO TOTALLY KIDDING! This is the BEST litter I've ever had!! Have 4 cats and i'm the only person who cleans the box!! I can't do it daily and this Works so well with keeping Odors at a minimum and Clumpimg EVERYTHING which makes it so easy to scoop out. It doesn't exactly "slide" out, unless you'd slide it out daily, but cleaning the bottom weekly, it's much easier. Doesn't Stick like other litters to the point where you have to scrape And scrape. I bang it out in the garbage and almost all of what's on the bottom of the Box comes out, so there is minimal scraping with 4 cats!!! Then I wash it and refill. This is a Game changer!! It is exactly like Sand!!

This stuff is GREAT! I doubted it, but it does exactly what it says it does. No more scraping heavy clay from the walls of the litter box! The scent is mild, and though I usually don’t like scented litter, I really like this one. There’s one problem: you can buy it for 15-16 dollars everywhere, except Amazon. It’s a rare thing, but Amazon has overpriced this item by a long shot. I’ve found the 28 pound box on sale for as low as 12 bucks! But the standard price at most other venues is $15-16. Great product though. I paid Amazon’s price first time around, and I didn’t regret it because I like the product so much. But now that I know competitors’ much lower prices, I’ll have to shop elsewhere. I’m guessing Amazon might fix this price soon, though.

I love this litter for the most part. As others have sid, it’s dust- and track-free, a huge plus. Unfortunately, it has a perfume added, which is a minus. Also, ever since I started using it, there are tiny flies (Phorids) all through the house. It seems to be the big boxes (28 lb) boxes causing this. That's the size we started out with and noticed the flies soon after. We hadn’t had any animals for over 3 years, so there wasn’t an existing issue. And I clean the box 2 to 3 times a day because we rescued 2 cats. Since the 28# boxes are so heavy, when the 2 we started with ran out, we bought the smaller boxes a few times. The flies disappeared. Two days ago, we opened up another 28 lb box and now the flies are back. There is nothing else in the house that these flies could be coming from-no fresh fruits, no produce, nothing. That said, we like this litter so much we are willing to put up with the flies. We are putting out bowls of a solution of apple cider vinegar, dish soap, and sugar hoping to reduce the fly population. So for us, the pluses of dust-free, track-free, and hard clumping outweigh the nuisance of the flies, especially if we are able to elimate them by buying the smaller boxes of litter.

First clumping kitty litter that actually did what it says - this stuff is great. I have tried clumping kitty litter before - the idea is great - but when the stuff stuck to the bottom of the side of the box - it was like trying to remove cement. I just went back to regular kitty litter. Didn’t have time to clean a box filled with cement. When I saw this stuff advertised- I thought I would give it one more try and sure glad I did!! So easy cleaning the cat box now. Thank you so much for inventing this kitty litter that is true to its claim. Really doesn’t stick to the box!!!

It doesn't stick to the side,s bottom or most importantly CATS. My cats have always managed to track litter all over no matter which brand and which type I have used. The various pads and carpets I bought helped but I still got litter on my floors, chairs and bed. After 2 weeks of use that problem is eliminated. Another great thing about "Slide" is that the dust is almost completely eliminated. Yes everyone says, at most, 99.9% dust free but that leaves .1% of the weight to go up in dust which might not seem like a lot but dust is very light weight. From the lack of dust I have observed I would say that "Slide" is 99.99999% dust free. Greatr product too bad I can't give it more stars. Arm & Hammer advertize these other benefits it will increase sales

I tried a different litter which was far inferior to Clump and Seal Slide. This clumbs well and stays together and does a good job of oder control. I am coming back to this litter and won't be trying others.

This is by far the best "non-stick" litter I have found!! I've always been wary about products that guarantee easy cleaning so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. It definitely exceeded my expectations. If you don't replace your box with fresh litter on a monthly basis (recommended with any litter for sanitary and health reasons), it will obviously lose its effectiveness. As for my cats opinion, she loves it! I think the finer texture feels more natural on her paws. CATS WITH ALLERGIES: My sisters cat started sneezing a bunch when she would use this litter box. Once it was cleaned out and replaced with her usual brand, the sneezing stopped. Too bad for my sister!
