Sandalwood combs are great! They are better for your hair than plastic combs because there are no seams that can cause damage. The wide tooth style is perfect for combing through your hair when it is wet to get the tangles out before styling. Your hair is at its most delicate when it is wet, so you want to be as gentle as you can with it. You can certainly use them on dry hair as well as for detangling, so I have one of these in my purse, one in my travel bag and one in every bathroom. Whenever you need to you can grab one and give your hair a quick comb through. It will never cause static in your hair. The size of the comb is perfect, with a nice big handle and the comb part is deep enough to go through thick hair. They are sturdy and pretty. SO much better than some hunk of plastic. You could even leave it out on a vanity if you wanted. I was a hairdresser in my twenties. I highly recommend these. They are just as nice as others on Amazon that cost much more.

Beautifully constructed and quite fragrant. Just what I wanted. It combs through my long, fine hair very smoothly. I just might order another one for my purse. I am so pleased.

I love this comb! I have really long hair so tangles and static are big problems. This comb detangles without snagging and it helps reduce static, plus sandal wood is supposed to be good for your hair. I like it so much I ordered a second one to carry in my purse. It's thick and well made and I fully expect it to be the last comb I have to buy. If you're looking for a really good, wide toothed comb you can't go wrong with this one.

I was afraid that the comb would be small for the (6'6") recipient's hand based on the provided measurements, but it is a normal-sized comb and he assures me it is comfortable to hold and use. He says it is well-balanced, and I agree, as it has a pleasing weight to it.I cannot yet attest to durability, but I wanted to write a review immediately, because this is such a lovely item. It features smooth wood with a distinct flowing grain, worked to a glossy polish.The scent is subtle and pleasant, noticeable when I bring the comb to my nose.I've had this comb in my wishlist (for my partner) for months, and have been doing lot of Amazon shopping. I order mostly functional items, and I don't expect much in the way of looks or quality because I go for the lower priced items just to tide us over. This comb on the other hand is something that we will treasure for its beauty and utility-- I suspect for many years.If you like simple household objects to be works of fine craftsmanship, don't let the low price mislead you; this is a thing of beauty.

Use this brush every night after learning that it might be better to comb hair with, especially when wet. My hair definitely seems less brittle and is growing more than it used to. Less hair is on the brush as well after detangling.Obviously could be due to a lot of different factors but I do feel confident that this brush has been gentle and improved my hair health.Also, dropped it so many times and had no issue. Lol
