I was a little worried about whether this would really help but after using it I can confirm that it does. I weigh about 350 lbs. so I wondered what it was made of and would it handle my weight. I have had no problems with it. It creates a flat, even seat like sitting on a chair. I haven’t had to reposition it, it has stayed in place. It raised me about 1.5”, which I like because it makes it easier to stand. I have put a thin soft cushion on top of it just for comfort. I had questions about what it was made of so I have included a short video showing the strength of the material. It holds up well, it doesn’t smush down even under my weight. I consider this worth the cost.

However, it did not sustain the full support expected to help the sling effect of the wheelchair seat.

I found this cushion kind of by accident. I had been looking for a solution to the hammocking that occurred on my wheelchair seat after only 16 months of use. This cushion solved the problem! I was having great difficulty getting out of my wheelchair. After putting this cushion in it was incredible how much easier it was to get up out of my wheelchair. I can also reach items on my counter easier as I am sitting higher. If I could give this cushion ten stars I would. I am so very pleased I found it and purchased it!

Used this base in an Invacare Tracer EX2 to help get my mother sitting with better posture. Without this base, she sat "in" the fabric seat sling on the wheelchair, tended to slouch, and did not have good leverage on the wheel handrims. This base gets her up out of the sling and in a much better position to manuever the chair.
