Timex Men's Expedition Tide-Temp-Compass 45mm Watch

Great watch. Looked good for business casual and rec purposes. Reliable and durable. - wish I still had it but someone else liked it too and picked it off me.

Excellent product, no boundaries!

After 2 years, the watch face and bezel are very scratched up under normal use. The compass I could never get to work correctly. Sometimes it would work, but sometimes it was off by over 30 degrees and the directions don't really help much. The calibration is pretty bad. But the tide watch is great and the temperature is also accurate if you put it into the water so I really liked that. Overall a great watch, just not for the compass. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I do believe that a smart phone is better to use at this point for a compass. The only other drawback is durability over a 2 year wear. But I can tell that the watch has some good internals. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 because I'm having it repaired / restored and I wear it at the beach. It's great to know where to put your chair. For less than $200 it's a decent watch and I'd buy another one.

Compass feature is nice; however, it’s not incredibly accurate. It’ll get you in the right direction though. Nice looking watch with an easily readable face. The indiglo is nice for night time. Good feeling weight to the watch and the material on the watch band is nice as well, no irritation and easy to buckle.

I leave 3 stars. Not because of issues with the watch itself. In fact the watch I love. But the band broke within a month. It broke wear it connects to the watch itself. There is a loop on the end of the band that snapped. Needless to say I purchased another band and once again enjoying my great dependable timex watch.

I really like the feel and weight of this watch, and it is an attractive design. However, about the 5th time I wore it, or tried to, the buckle tore out of the fabric band. Incredibly disappointed to pay this much and have it be essentially useless until I find a new band. Not sure how it even comes apart. It appears to have small screws holding it to the case. Update, nearly a year later, 9/26/24, and I have yet to find a band to replace the worthless band supplied. Supplier has been no help. I would avoid this seller. I've seen this model with silicone bands, but this cloth band wore like wet tissue paper. Extremely disappointed. I'm out nearly $200 Update 8/12/2026 Still trying to find a band. I went to a high end jeweler today and they had nothing to fit this application.

This watch was a gift and he absolutely loved it. I would have liked to have more instruction inside for understanding the compass and temperature features. Aesthetically, the watch is very masculine, the band is very good quality and the silver around the face really catches your eye. So far, it is working well and wearing well. The band is totally adjustable, is made of comfortable materials and is not too heavy on the arm.

Only three useful features: time, date, and compass. The tide feature is useless and the temperature feature is very hard to read. The watch is quite large, attractive and comfortable to wear. My band is urban camouflaged leather. Not a substitute for any real smart watch. Way too expensive.

I like the watch - but it keeps losing time in an unpredictable way - sometimes ok and then 10-15 minutes per 24 hr. I have had the battery replaced twice and the reset button was pressed - its not that. Timex only warranty watches for 12 months if bought from 3rd parties but 24 months if bought from Timex. Buyer beware. I am 10 days beyond the 12 month period - should have acted sooner
