The Wide Window: Or, Disappearance! (Unfortunate Events)

I was so excited for this book to arrive. I was a bit disappointed when a barcode sticker was placed on the book spine. No matter how gently I tried to remove it, at last, the sticker took part of the text with it.Please place the barcode sticker anywhere else on the hard cover or back of the book, where it would be much easier to remove with no damage to the book. After reading, I was planning to use for decorative purposes and sadly, this one will stand out from the rest.Other than that, I can’t wait to read this book with my kids.

A close friend of mine Ient her box set of this series to her sister who then returned it with this book missing. I purchased a used copy, wrote a short note telling her to enjoy her reading and the other wonderful parts of life, and then I snuck it into her collection without her noticing. It's been there for over a month now, and she still hasn't noticed it. I'm beginning to think she never will, as I've dropped hints and brought up the "missing" book multiple times, and I think she's recognized that the book is not missing, but not that it had been replaced.This is bothersome because she's one of the most beautiful and worthwhile people I know, and I was hoping that continuing a friendship through reciprocal acts of kindness would eventually lead her to fall in love with me. It didn't seem too far fetched, as we have kissed several times, and I've been told I'm at least a decent-looking guy. But she hasn't noticed this book, and she just met some dude on tinder who is probably taller than I am (or more masculine etc.) My apologies, jealousy is as inevitable as it is unbecoming. This has coincided with the apparent waning of the frequency and quality of our communication (which used to be great), to the point where she recently did not even wish me a happy birthday. I guess it's my fault for having the expectation she'd remember in lue of me not having a Facebook. But, I'm afraid it's time to own up to these realities and accept that this book is just as unnoticible as I am.Anyway I'm 23 now, and old enough to get over a woman, even the most admirable of them.This book was exactly as described and in the expected condition. If I purchase any more novels in an effort to woo potential beauties, I intend to be more forthright. If you are purchasing for a similar purpose, may your romantic endeavours amount to more than a series of unfortunate events.

Gift to a fan who loves these books

Item better than described, a like new book, library binding-- perfect to use in my elementary school library.

Someone needs to change or sharpen the paper cutter blade, this cut was awful. The pages are uneven and frayed. I was disappointed to give this as a gift it shouldn't have even made it into the binding.

I ordered this book as used and from the looks of this book I'm pretty positive it was never read, really impressed with the quality and price.

It's a book not much ya can say. I bought to complete my grandsons series. He liked it

É interessante a ideia do autor de querer criar um padrão. 13 livros com 13 capítulos cada.Mas, neste o volume a história já começou a me parecer um pouco arrastada. Parece que o autor enrola para manter o número de 13 capítulos.De qualquer, continua sendo uma boa leitura para quem quer treinar o inglês. O texto não é difícil e a escrita é fluída, o que facilita a leitura.Além disso, me pareceu que nesse livro o tom pesado da história que a série narra ganhou tons mais escuros ainda.

Actualmente voy en el 7mo libro, y este junto con el 5to son los mejores hasta ahora, la historia con muchos giros, como siempre personajes muy interesantes, espero el resto sean igual de reconfortantes.

Excelente libro

El formato es bueno pero la calidad del material es muy pobre, las hojas son muy delgadas y la portada es prácticamente de cartón. No tiene textura y parece producto de imprenta. Supongo que es por el precio, pero si lo que buscan es un libro para llevar a todas partes no lo recomiendo porque es muy frágil y se maltrata con facilidad.
