As good (maybe better) as a traditional plastic straw, loved it!
I have nothing to complain about with these pasta straws. I even put one in a beer just to try it, and although beer is not really intended to be drank through a straw, it did not affect the taste.Absolutely loved these. You can tell the company put a LOT of effort into getting this right. We all no plastic straws are bad for nature, and we also know that paper straws are horrible. These seem like a no-brainer replacement.

It actually does crack
I like the concept of these straws, but the execution could definitely be improved. I didn't like that the hole is much more narrow than the average plastic straw, so it was hard to drink certain things. And if you drink something too hot, the "straw" will actually crack, so it's probably better for colder drinks. It's nice though that you can't really taste the pasta-ness. Overall it's a good start, but there's definitely room for improvements.

Great alternative for those who don’t like paper
Some drinks, you just need a straw. For example, iced coffee with flavored syrup. A straw is the only way to make the flavor work through the whole beverage. Personally, I really like bamboo or paper straws, but a lot of people (my daughter) hate the way they feel on their mouth or the taste or how they hold the moisture. My daughter loves these as an alternative to plastic. They mouthfeel is more like plastic, and there is no taste to these or any pasta residue. It’s clean, smooth, and unless you take a really, really long time to drink, it stays dry and firm. My daughter also thinks it’s hilarious that when these straws are left in a drink too long, all the submersed straw softens into, well, a cooked pasta like consistency. The straw will still work, but it is pretty floppy and funny.

Work great, very impressed!
My family absolutely loves these straws! We all tested them out with alcohol drinks and soda. They lasted OVER two hours and were still usable for a long time after that. At the two hour mark the part submerged in liquid gets a little floppy. For fun, I even bit some off to taste it. It has a texture like pasta and a bland flavor. We ordered more to use on the boat this summer so if the straws flew into the water it would be safe for the fish and they would dissolve in the water without harming anything! The straws themself are thick and strong. They are easy to sip out of.The other thing we bought these for are camping, and to take to Mexico resorts and other restaurants so that we don’t have to worry about them afterwards and can leave them behind.I will still use my metal and silicone straws at home, but these are a better alternative for pubic places and outdoor activities.I would highly recommend these straws!

Lasted 2 hours
These are some really neat straws. They’re hard out of the box without feeling fragile. Slightly translucent, too. I noticed an odd taste with my first drink; I assume it’s just the taste of the dry pasta. After getting it wet, there was no lingering taste from it.Just shy of the 2 hour mark, I noticed there was a hole in the straw making me unable to drink through it. At this point, the pasta was soggy enough to bend, and it cause the dry part about it to start cracking. So I"d say any use you get beyond the 2 hour point is just luck based on where the straw decides to start cracking. There isn’t going to be any "nursing a drink all day" with these straws. But for quick single uses? I definitely feel good about using non-plastics for that.

Very Impressed
Love that these straws are gluten free! They arrive neatly packaged and ready to use.Perfect for any beverage drink you’d need a straw for, however I did notice my straw started to get “soggy” right about 1.5-2 hours after placing it in my drink. So you definitely can’t have it sitting in your beverage for long amounts of time. But if you plan to drink your beverage quickly, then these are perfect for you!

They really did make it out of (gluten free!) pasta
These straws will certainly last a lot longer in a drink than a cardboard straw. There isn't much of a flavor although I could still taste a small hit of corn and rice pasta when I impulsively bit down on it and crushed it. They're decent sized straws but won't work for a tall drink. Overall a good option if you're looking for eco friendly straws.
