how is the battery life of two premiem AA batteries?

My son uses this mouse with the lights on for 1-2 hours per day. Batteries last 7-10 days. If I'm to believe the earlier answers, then there is something seriously wrong with our mouse, purchased in March 2018.

What is the battery life like with and without the LEDs on?

Mind you I'm using the included batteries. I used this mouse these past 12 months and have only changed the batteries a week ago. I use the LED's occasionally and I use the mouse everyday for about 8-9 hours everyday. I always leave the mouse on. I don't know why others are getting so much worse battery life with this mouse.

Does the mouse work with macs?

Yep. My friend and I have this mouse and he uses a mac and confirmed that it works fine with it. Just plug the receiver into any usb port and it should automatically install the drivers.

how many (if any) programable buttons are there for macros and are they easy to program?

It's a standard 7 button mouse (5 clickable usable, the scroll wheel, and a DPI adjustment). They recommend you use a program like X-Mouse if you want to program any of the buttons.
