Waterproof Rain Bonnet Hat w Full Cut Visor & Netting for Men/Women (Unisex)

Had to walk 3 blocks from the parking garage to the theatre in the city. My umbrella did not open . This rain bonnet did not fail. My hairstayed dry . My neck & face stayed dry. I will get a second one to keep on the passenger side of the car for my passenger. Just in case.

This bonnet has an extra visor that goes in front of the face. That's nice because I wear glasses and that will keep the rain off of them. The net lining will keep the cap's shape and not lay on my hair. This was a great price. some others were more money. I can't believe I'm wearing this 1960's popular hat wear! When I was a teenager I used to make fun of ladies wearing their plastic babushka, but it can't be any worse than wearing a plastic bag over my head to keep my hair from getting rained on. Haha, who is getting laughed at now?

I bought this rain bonnet before an international trip to England and Scotland because I knew I’d be dealing with cool, rainy weather. I only wash my hair every 3–4 days, so I wanted something that would protect it if I got caught in a shower without having to carry or wear a rain jacket all the time. This turned out to be the perfect solution. It folds up easily, takes almost no space in a bag, and the lightweight, water-resistant material felt comfortable rather than bulky. The elastic edge gave it a secure fit without feeling tight, and it was quick to slip on whenever the rain started. It kept my hair dry and helped prevent the frizz that comes with mist and light rain. I’ll admit it reminded me of something my grandma would have worn—but after using it, I completely understood why! Sometimes the old-fashioned ideas are the most practical. It worked exactly as I hoped and was one of those little travel items that made the trip much more enjoyable. I would definitely pack it again for any destination where rain is in the forecast.

Bought for my elderly mother and she is thrilled! This is even better than the old school ones that I remember as a kid. Well worth the money.

This should be a decent rain hat for a medium to small head. Unfortunately, on a large head (like mine), the front visor barely reaches to my hairline. I had hoped the visor would provide some protection for my face and particularly my eye glasses, but the hat is just not big enough for that. It does cover my hair and top and back of my head okay, and the ties let it snug down tight around the neck and under the chin. I haven't tried it in actual rain yet, but it looks like it should be waterproof, and it is fairly warm. If handled carefully it should last a while. It folds into pocket size so is easy to carry, and I can see it being useful when caught in high winds or unexpected downpours. I would give it another star if if were only designed to fit bigger heads.

I was expecting this rain-hood to be waterproof on the outside with an inner MESH lining!I had one similar many years ago,and thought this would be the same.It is actually too cold/inflexible/hard for my liking,so I am disappointed.Only the ties and edges are of mesh! I obviously did not give enough attention to the description etc.!
