Fifteen years after the events of FALL (MGM, 1997), This daring sequel continues the story of Michael, now in his mid forties, who is suicidal about his floundering writing career. He leaves his home in New York and goes to Paris in hopes of igniting his passion for writing and life, where he meet Sophie as sexy and smart nurse who leads a mysterious double life. AFTER FALL, WINTER is a dangerous, sexy, and at times darkly funny story about two people who desperately want intimacy.

Honest
This is a film with a few honest sex scenes, two more than most dramas have. This is a film about chemistry and how that can be developed by sheer will. This is a sincere film about a fallen man and a contradictory woman. Finally, this is a flawed film about all the big topics of life, its flaw might be in its nihilism that fights through toward the finale, but the film makes one care enough to be upset by its flaws and that is more than a viewer can expect usually. This is a film not to be missed. If you liked Fall, this is that without some of the sillier aspects and with the effective drama and daring raised up to ten.

Pushes the boundaries of film beautifully concerning human behavior
Watch the Eric Schaeffer's movie "Fall" before you watch his "After Fall, Winter." The two are basically one movie with a little character time gap in between. "After Fall, Winter" made so much more sense after having watched "Fall." Also, the evolution and decline of the main character's personality from supreme confidence to self-destruction takes place over the two movies. The movie is exceptionally dark, involving S&M, and two wounded people who struggle each in their own way for intimacy and self-acceptance. The combination of the two movies is edgy, real, and oh so familiar to anyone harboring secrets they want to keep buried from the world while looking for anyone who will accept them for who they truly are inside.

Morbid and beautiful
This reminded me of a BDSM Romeo and Juliet. I thought it was one the most riveting movies I have ever seen. A lot of what this movie looks into is very very taboo. But, that is the beauty of it. I think they could have picked a different male lead. But, that is just me being picky. I recommend it for adults, this is not a movie for little ones obviously.

Bdsm Romeo and Juliet
The Bdsm of Romeo and Juliet with a twist. I love this film, it gritty, funny, sexy and tragic all at once something you will not get in many films. If you are looking for a steamy unique take on boy meets girl, this is the film to see.

Amazing
This movie is wonderfully complex. It revealed many sentiments and exposed the weaknesses of pride, betrayl and trust. It had raunchy sex scenes, which I appreciated, but also reallysad and touching moments of where we.get to dissect the simplicity of how love breaks down barriers that we people set up.

blah
Too depressing and disturbing for my taste don't know what I was thinking! If you prefer a little more of a feel good and or a little romantic of a movie do not watch this one. Just because a movie is suppose to be different from others with a suprise kind of ebeding does not make the movie good or worth it sorry but it doesn't.

Almost nailed it....and then the ending happened
I thought this was an interesting follow-up to Fall. I thought the first movie got a lot right and 90% of this movie built on that. The relationship between the main characters was beautiful and genuinely touching. The acting and chemistry was great. No spoilers, but damn that ending was painful to watch - and seemingly for no reason! Our protagonist had a great thing going and instead of speaking like adults, we got what we got.If the ending had ended on a happier note I think this pair of movies would be really lovely. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Tragic and beautiful
The film was interesting, dramatic and heart-wrenching. But most of all, I loved itBecause it was a love story! Also, it was impossible not to fall in love with the twoMain characters because they each had such tenderness and darkness all at the same time.

Not erotic, just sensitive
Lovely story, and both happy and sad. Was expecting it to be too erotic, but it was a lovely story.
