Amazing bottom rail for Glock Gen 1!
I have an older Glock Gen 1 with no rail. I was hesitant buying this but I wanted a system on which to mount a Streamlight TLR-1-HL Tactical Light. This rail is excellent for this pistol. It installs easily and stays very secure. The Streamlight fit perfectly!

NC Star services what they sell
This rail adaptor by NC Star worked very, very well. I did have a problem with the lower mounting screw. Both supplied screws were about 19 mm. The top screw worked find however, the lower screw was too short. I call NC Star, explained my problem and they were very accommodating. The rep. sent me two ea. 22 mm screws and solved my issue. Thanks NC Star!!!

Screwy screws
I haven't had a chance to shoot with this installed but it feels solid. I'd probably be a completely satisfied, 5 star customer if NcStar provided longer screws. Unfortunately, I had to buy slightly longer screws for this to fit securely on my Detroit P.D. Glock model 22. Some reviewers don't have this problem so perhaps different length screws are being provided. Whatever the reason, mine were definitely too short.

Poor tolerances.
I bought this rail adaptor for my Glock 27. This rail clamps on to the the front of the trigger guard. The clamps did not fit well inside the trigger guard, as the clamps would not seat all the way forward to the front of the trigger guard due to some small flanges hitting top and bottom of the trigger guard. In addition the foot of the main rail piece that abuts the front of the trigger guard was way to thick for the clamping bolts to reach the holes in the foot. The combination of these two out of tolerance items pretty much makes it impossible to attach. This item is sturdy and the bolts provided are long enough but you just can not get the bolts in the holes since they were way out of alignment. This is the only gizmo on the market that could work well for a light on a glock that does not have a rail and is a good concept. I decided to just grind off a good 1/8" of material off the bottom of the foot and then could just barely get it to clamp on. I may have gotten a bad one, but if you are not prepared to do some grinding I would wait until the manufacturer gets better quality control.

G23 2nd genreation
I installed this on my G23 40 cal Gen 2 gun. It is very well made and mounted solid to the gun. Very Very good fit. The only issue I had was one of the two lock down screws stripped out or just began to so dont tighten like Rambo. I always over tighten everything. Just snug them up with some blue locktite and they will anchor just fine. I mounted a cheap AIM Surplus light on it and the combination does just fine. I did modify my mount so that they light fit rearward a bit more which required me to cut another rail slot with a dremel cutting wheel just behind the existing one. you can easily just eyeball were you want your light to sit on the rail and cut yoru slot there. No tricks really just a simple groove cut across the rail to allow the light cross screw to sit into and then I inserted a small hex head screw from the muzzle end between the light mount and the light so that the spring release mechanism would not activate unless I remove this screw. This was a function of the light NOT THE RAIL. I'm just telling you how I mounted my light is your use the AIMS light, which is very capable for this intended use. I have fired over 200 rounds thru mine and it is still rock solid.

Flawless!
I just got this rail today and mounted it on my Gen2 glock 23 in about a minute. Its dirt simple... For those that cant figure out how to install a pair of opposing screws you start one then start the other then go back and forth till they are both tight sort of like changing a tire on a car. No extra purchase of any extra long screw required. Not to mention that is is really on there too. Im a pretty big guy (6'4 280) and it doesnt want to move when I try to bend it or wiggle it. Now I can mount anything (except a vertical fore grip since that's illegal till you give the fascist government a copy of your fingerprints, a photo of yourself, fill out some paperwork AND pay them 200 bucks! Yaaay Fascism!) on my glock 23! Maybe I'll mount one of those fancy new pistol bayonets on it LOL! Thank you NCStar!edit: as a side note for those wondering the aluminum downward support (which is gusseted btw) is about 5/8" thick in front of your trigger guard. So if you want to add a flashlight to your glock after adding this you might wanna consider one with a remote pressure switch if you dont have a 10"+ hand span or using your off hand to turn the light on.(I do have to wonder why 0 of 2 people found this info useful... I explained exactly what gun I put it on and how to do it and even a later discovered drawback... I guess some people dont understand the meaning of the word HELPFUL.)

Rail for gen1
I Really was surprised on the quality off this rail. I ordered it without much thought and wished I hadn't until it got here and then after I saw just how nice it was I was glad I got it. It is all machined and coated aluminum and just fit perfectly. The way the clamps (machined and coated aluminum as well) are designed they locate on a v that forces the rail up nice and tight to to the bottom of gun. Nice design.Well made.

If you have some time to kill...
I probably could have got this to stay on, but it's more work than it should be. As other reviewers noted, the screws are too short. You shouldn't have to retrofit a new accessory.Shame. My other NcStar items work well. This just perpetuates the cliche of poor Chinese quality.
