What type of hydraulic fluid does this use?

Enerpac recommends LX101 hand pump oil for their hand pumps. I know many of my customers use standard hydraulic oil such as HF101 without major issues, although I think the seals wear out faster.

Can this pump be mounted and used in a vertical position?

Yes as long as the hose is pointing south (down). Otherwise it won't keep oil pressure in the hose to feed the cylinder.

Solid pump

I'm using this in a 50 ton press, it replaced a low end pump that barely worked. Up to 5000 psi, this pump takes no effort, 5000-7500 it is hard to do and 7500-10000 psi it really takes some muscle but it does the job. Overall, i'm happy with it.
